Are people happy that the Krysae is now junk status?

well at least your honest that nerfers want to kill wepons rather than balance them.
Sorry to be blunt kid, but BSN posters don't nerf guns. Thus nerfers are a myth. Go home now.

I used to use it all the time on gold pre-nerf, but now that it’s not the best gun in the game anymore I can at least look forward to getting ultra-rares again... once they do something about the drop rate that is.

Gotta love the overreaction when anything people use gets a nerf. It's less useful now, but it's not useless. I still do well enough with it on Gold when I feel like giving it a whirl, and not on Infiltrators or the Destroyer either.
The trick is to know what it's for. It's not a boss-destroying artillery cannon made of nuclear explosions, it's a crowd damaging blanket weapon used for groups and applying ammo powers in a wide range. Of course it's not useful on Platinum, because that's a boss rush. It's for taking out soft targets, not armored everything. Ironic given it's supposed to be an anti-materiel rifle but that's not the point.
It's not dead, it's just brought down a few pegs. There's a difference.
You sure are not hysteric enough for BSN.

Krysae is still pretty strong for
Infiltrator on Gold, and probably other weapon classes. Good for
staggering and taking down groups of soft targets. Good for killing
mid-level Armored units like Pyro, Brute and Ravager. I only find it
lacking in taking down bosses, where DPS matters most and the ROF nerf
is really felt. Of course, it wasn't that great at boss killing before
the nerf anyway.
Yes, but we already have the Falcon and Scorpion for stagger and crowd control, both of which are better than the post-nerf Krysae.

You've clearly never played silver where it still blows everything to pieces. You should get off your high horse once in a while and try looking at where weapons are really balanced.
You suck at math. Its dps is worse than the locust. It's AE, but the AE radius is small. Even in its hayday, I never saw one get a killstreak.
At the same time he posted in another thread "I'm glad it's dead". Mgamerz. Always full of crap. Always.

I'm glad you took the time to watch the video but completely neglected the description on that very same video: 'but it still works well after the nerf'.
Luckily for you I was in the mood to prove the people who think this gun is worthless wrong.
(GI + weapon gear V + weapon rail III + ammo IV) will make ANY weapon do insane damage.
You could have reached similar score with a shuriken (in fact shuriken has higher DPS, so probably more)
You did not demonstrate that the weapon is good. You demonstrated that GI + max eq. is godly on anything.
why wouldn't you use equipment on platinum?

they should really do that for all nerfed weapons, most of my rare's that are maxed are nerfed crap weapons

I'm not a nerf-duck, and dont like people who complain about a gun being good when used with a player with any kind of skill. But the kyrsae was on my list of things I knew would get nerfed/ was really annoying. I didnt post anything on the forum but I do think the krysae deserved to be nerfed a bit. But now its pretty much dead, and I didnt want that ethier...

Weapons which ware easy to use and cause good damage will always be target for nerf callers as most of them either don't like to use it or despise others using it, even though this is a co-op game afterall.
A lot of nerfs calls have been brought up all in the name of balance.
What is balance then, if you may ask?
The ideal balance situation which these nerfers ask for will only happen if:
- Every single character class uses exactly the same skills with the same damage.
- Every single weapons also has the same property and also deals the same set of damage as skills.
- Every single map/enemy type also has the same layout/deals the same damage.
Now ask yourself, will you be buying said game if this was true?
There can never be true balance if there are to be variety and uniqueness in a game.
Both of them are counter-active to each other.
I wonder how long it'll take before these nerf-callers can understand this, or if they ever will...
So having to choose between unnerved Krysae, Pyranha, Typhoon, or a vastly inferior loadout would bring variety and uniqueness ?
Seems legit.

Has the game become harder since its launch ? Quite debatable.
Yet even if it had and you couldn't bear it, you are still free to play bronze.

also why do people even complain about the power of weapons ON A CO-OP GAME, its not meant to be competitive, if someone has a beastly gun then that helps your team, if this game was competitive, sure nerf it because its needs to be fair, but co-op NEEDS some powerful but rare weapons so that you can make progress, if everything becomes **** then no progress can be made
If players have the choice between equiping the OP gun of the moment and holding the team down, it becomes clone wars.
A game with 4 usable loadouts suck.

If you find it fun don't post videos of it on Youtube to become a Youtube star. All it does is make all the bad kids copy you then BioWare sees the data for that set up sky rocket so they nerf it immediatly.

To enemies, their health, armor and damage stays the same//gets increased.
So they will still kill you with 2-4 hits on plat and you will take 2 clips to down a geth hutner :>

Sick of hardcore bad kids like you. In order to have fun in the game I want it to be a challange but completable while I earn a decent ammount of in-game reward for my hard work. Right now we got:Bivo wrote...

A game with 4 usable loadouts suck.
Bronze -> Super Easy but microscopic reward =/= fun
Silver -> Easy but tiny reward =/= fun
Gold -> Getting their difficulty and mediocre reward =/= fun
Platinum -> Somehow easier than Gold but harder than Silver. Wait wtf? High ass reward =/= fun
So erm yea telling everyone to go play Bronze to obtain "fun" isn't really a good response at all.
Also a game with 4 useable loadouts sucks? I mean seriously then instead of getting every single last thing nerfed causing that to happen shouldn't we want buffs?

Here is that Falcon-level nerf that the nerf-herders said wasn't going to happen. Actually, I think it got nerfed quite a bit harder than the Falcon. I guess since all the explosive weapons are garbage, that BW should just stop trying with them. Striker always blew, Falcon got nerfed into uselessness, as did the Krysae. They should just stop.
Reading this, an hypothesis came to me : by having I WIN buttons removed, you were nerfed into uselessness.

lolwhut. The Falcon is still amazing, just in a different way. It went from a stupid good AOE monster to a Tech burst machine. It's still a viable weapon on plenty of classes.

It's not that. It's that weapons feel weaker in this game than in any other ME title. The DLC weapons have created a lot of "controversy" but that's mostly because they actually perform their purpose well. DLC weapons = proper weapon balance.

I am not in the mood to discuss the merits of Gear (like spamming five more grenades once in a while), compared to minimal health increases for ennemies.
A word of advice : play bronze. Lots of fun, every gun is fabulous.

And so far the weapons that actually do something to enemies are particle rifle and piranha//reegar that I use atm.
Didn't work with sniper rifles, since im saving that for other classes, but other assault rifles either don't cut it, make you stay to long out of cover doing crap or are just for CC.
When playing on other map it changes since you don't have to survive agaisnt huge onslaught but yea, the weapons feel weeker and weeker.
