How in god's name does this thread get locked and yet this PoS is still here...

Are they waiting for Thomas Abram to get online or something?

I recommend that in order to play the ME3 Multiplayer difficulty level that you have to have a N7 Ranking or have logged a certain number of hours actually playing multiplayer.   The way it is now will ruin the Public search if it hasen't already.   This magic number is tier driven, and this needs to be implemented soon in order to preserve the intergrity of the difficulties, they are being overrun with the wrong players and inexperience players, there needs to be some order because you can search for a Platinum match now and see a N7 1 level 1 attempting to play, doesn't make any sense to me.

Bronze - Any N7 Ranking (1 - Unlimited)  (0 - Hours Min)
Silver - N7 Ranking 500 (500 - Unlimited) (50-Hours Min)
Gold - N7 Ranking 900 (900 - Unlimited) (125 Hours Min)
Platinum - 1350 - and above (1350 - Unlimited) (500 Hours Min)

This will keep the difficulties appropriate to the players, people like myself can't stand being in a Platinum match with a N7 Ranking 100 or for that matter a level 1. on Platinum...it's ruining the Public Platinum searches. Please fix immediately., and this forces people to level up and try different characters, in a Platinum match you'll suggest that a player switch to a character that can better help the squad and the N7 Ranking 1 or 100 has not a clue what class or character we are talking about, I believe SIL, Gold, and especially Platinum should be EARNED not given away, just like the weapons and gear are earned through game play and packs, a new person should have something to look forward to, and not buy the game today and play PLATINUM 5 min later, it's suppose to be the hardest level, but with a N7 Ranking of 1 or 100, it's turning out to be a BIG JOKE. And this will keep the Missile Glitchers that are still out there on Bronze, because most of their N7 Ranking are under 250, so it lets them know if you want the good credits LEARN TO PLAY THE GAME....

If you disagree Bioware and think giving people Platinum and Gold that just bought the game then I suggest you do away with the EARNED PACKS, and just start giving away Harrier X and Black Widow X....since you believe that earned is not applicable to the actual game, but weapons and gear ARE.....DUUUUHHHH

I think the n7 rank is crap..I don't promote..but I can hang in gold/plat just fine.  I'd like to see players average score per game or maybe even per wave.  N7 is not the way to do it.  Hours played is better...but still doesn't depict a skill level at all.  It's not about elitism.  It's about not wasting my time.

I spend arround 500 hour with MP of ME3 and I have only 660 N7, and I dont even have single Gold weapon maximised ( I think I have arround half the unlocks )

Your estimates are off.

If I was buffing N7 ranking for sport I could have rank 2000 in less than 100 hours.

This just in:
Playing for a long time guarantees you'll be a good player in a Gold/Plat match.

I'm a Gold player and I usually score 1st or 2nd and sometimes 3rd, and my N7 rank is 360 and I just don't feel like promoting any characters right now.

the idea is not that dumb just needs to be fixed a bit. play time hours isn't where it's at. we should be tracking how many matches to extractions and kills to death. that should be a value of the N7 like battlefield. do not lock people out of playing, just don't expect a full extraction with an N7 of 20

BTW< The gold and platinum suggestion is honestly pretty stupid. Gold is a complete cake walk if you have decent classes/weps (by the time you are near 300 you should). Platinum on the other-hand only seems to be a bit more difficult to be honest.

N7 rank means little to nothing. I'm N7 600 and look at my manifest.

If anything, the loadout a person has says a lot about how effective they'll be in a match.

I think I joined a random lobby with you but you decided to quit because of how low my N7 rank was despite having most of my loadouts with UR's at X.

The number of times a person promotes does not indicate how awesome they are....it merely indicates how much they like promoting.

I've been playing MP since day 1 and my N7 is at 210. I don't promote unless a weekend challenge requires it and I'm a completionist, meaning I gather every war asset in all of my SP playthroughs, so promotions are worthless to me. By your description of "how things should work", I can only play Bronze because I'm not "experienced" enough. Sounds like you are just fed up with PUGs and your "solution" is this f***ed up system. You're like the Starbrat, IMHO....

I have seen players with N7 260 and L X UR's on Platinum and topping scoreboard while I'm almost 2900 and my ultra rares are half-maxed at best.

This either is a joke or troll thread. Not sure about first though.

Are you kidding me?

I could be the most amazing Biotic God that can rip an Atlas into two with a twitch of a butt cheek and I could have an N7 of 400.

Maybe I farmed and maxed out everything but hate promoting so I'm low N7?

Or maybe some people have lives or again hate promoting?

N7 isn't a measure of skill but the willingness to promote. This isn't COD. There is no Prestige Mode. Get out, and get out fast before Mass Effect comrades think twice before allowing you into a game with them.

No

N7 Rank only tells how many levels you have gained and how many times you have promoted, it is not an indication of skill by any means

I'm N7 420. To hell with promoting more characters, and I like my number. Under your requirements I can't even play silver anymore.

This is a stupid idea....N7 Ranking doesn't mean a thing in regards to 'skill'.
