Wait this is actually good but I would change a couple of things.
Instead 99999999-UNLIMITED to play platinum
The max cap is 120(Deafult no promo)
So
Bronze-N7 1-Unlimited
Silver-N7 50-Unlimited
Gold-N7 90-Unlimited
Platinum-120-Unlimited

I haven't promoted since the last event that required promotions. I've been hoarding them since then so I don't get caught with my pants down when they do it again.

I've regularly gotten better results at my current N7 rank of 540 than people with 1k plus rank.

Nope. Awful idea. I don't need to say why, as many people already have. Just wanted to represent myself as yet another person on here who thinks this would only alienate good players.

Here let us count how many times I, with an N7 rank of 240, has had to carry a Gold match consisting of players with N7 in the thousands or tens of thousands.

I have played ME3 MP since the demo.
Purchased game at launch.
Played most classes extensively.
Solo'd Gold (no solo Plat attempt yet)
Team oriented player (constantly focused on objectives, rez downed team mates)
Always #1 or #2 in a room.
Read forums on a daily basis to keep on my game
and my N7 rank is about 230.

I'm not trying to toot my own horn.... but this absurd request was enough to make me post my FIRST post on these boards. N7 requirement on certain difficulties is a terrible idea. The rank is really no indication of player skill. Should people join Platinum as a lvl 10 Adept...? Probably not.... but I'm willing to give every player a chance before I give them the boot.  I'm willing to bet there are a TON of players with HALF of my N7 ranking that can outperform me. I'm 100% certain they can outperform you as well <_<

N7 500 for silver???? I rarely promote at N7 450 and I can play Gold PUGs with no problem. I can understand kicking an <N7 50 in a gold match but your standards are ridiculous lol

This game did need a ranking system, to separate the casuals from the experienced players. Between the level 10s that join gold games, people with 2000 N7 ranking thinking they are better than everyone else, it would have been nice (like most games) to seperate who are the really good players are and those who aren't so great. People who are in the same categories should play together, until they get better from a stat point of view.

In my experience on xbox the level 10s and the promoters at 2000 are equally bad.  You're right, maybe they should be playing together, and let the sensible players fill the other rooms.

No. Don't judge players by just looking at their ranks. I just played with a random player whose N7 rank was 107 on platinum, and he did really well.
