So Jay Hoxatron, maxed manifest and can outscore pretty much anyone with anything should only be able to play bronze.
Yea, this idea is bad.
I was just thinking the same thing...
Jay has an N7 of 120.
Jay is a noob.

So im not legible to play platinum?
Guy, is easy to detect if there are noobish ppl at your PUG lobby. Just have to look the weapon lvl/gear of your team mates. If you dont agree/like them, just kick/quit from that lobby.
Problem solved.

Bronze - Any N7 Ranking (1 - Unlimited) (0 - Hours Min)
Silver - N7 Ranking 500 (500 - Unlimited) (50-Hours Min)
Gold - N7 Ranking 900 (900 - Unlimited) (125 Hours Min)
Platinum - 1350 - and above (1350 - Unlimited) (500 Hours Min)
The N7 requirement is absurd enough, but the time requirement just kills me. 500h for platinum? Sure! Implement nowz, Biower! NOWZ!

N7 rank means little. Some people don't like promoting characters. For a long time I didn't. Also there are people below my rank better then me. I know this.
This.
Before it became a challenge, or a weekend event, I -never- promoted. I'm not exactly sure I like the idea of neutering my characters of their hard-earned levels just to raise a number that doesn't really have that much of a bearing on them- even now, I only plan to promote each class once a month.
And, yeah, I've also seen players with astonishingly low N7 ranks absolutely demolish the field using basic kits and uncommons. Turns out, stuff doesn't port from console to PC- I happened to be playing with a pro on a very weak account.
Really, N7 rank and time matter little in terms of player skill. You can play a thousand matches on bronze and meet any 'hours' or 'rank' requirements, that doesn't mean you're ready for Platinum.

It's not a completely bad idea. I agree with you that there are lots of noobs hosting or joining matches way out of their league. Damn, I saw an N7 1 player hosting an Unknown/Unknown/Platinum once. But I think your rules are a bit too harsh. So I fixed them. I think these woul be fair requirements for every difficulty of the game.naturalnapalm wrote...

Agreed. But I think we'll see it in the multiplayer of Mass Effect 4...nhb_ wrote...

When it comes, i'll probably be back in Unreal Tournament (4) (or whatever competitive mp series). There were a lot of good examples about organizing MP gameplay, waiting next Mass Effect just not worth it. No offence.

I've only played non-solo bronze about 3 times
by your system I shouldn't be allowed to play silver?

Silver - N7 50 or higher
Gold - N7 200 or higher
Platinum - N7 400 or higher
Also, i feel N7 does matter a little bit... im sure that in a gold/platinum game, most of you would prefer an N7 800 over an N7 100... im saying this because ive myself seen many players with N7 below 200 but decent weapons getting kicked out of platinum lobbies
