Blah Blah blah...
Bronze - Any N7 Ranking (1 - Unlimited) (0 - Hours Min)
Silver - N7 Ranking 500 (500 - Unlimited) (50-Hours Min)
Gold - N7 Ranking 900 (900 - Unlimited) (125 Hours Min)
Platinum - 1350 - and above (1350 - Unlimited) (500 Hours Min)
Blah Blah blah...
You know that N7 ranks means nothing, appart the number of characters you have promotted ?
and surely you know that some people have stopped promoting characters because they did not care about the EMS bonus points ?
So you MUST know that there might exist some players that have an N7 rating at 120 and have a better manifest than your's and that also plays better than you.
Please stop that nonsense.

Your love of large numbers is embarrassing.
Their love for oversized number is overcompensation for a tiny lower part IRL.

I will remind people that we have had something like this before.
IT sucked.
IT was horrible.
IT was BAD.

Yeah, BW already tried the N7 matchmaking... it sucked horribly.

TBH i find bronze dull even soloing - i did the recent commendation pack with a QFI, Indra IV and Piranha X, and almost fell asleep. The OP's idea would probably make me stop playing...

Excuse me but I run with a TEAM that loves silver and has me join them so that I can learn more and have more targets. I'm N7 153 but would have been higher if I understood promoting before a few days ago since I was running two Level 20s for the last month.
My team is awesome and has no problem with me being a lowly 153. They answer the dozens of questions I have and even though I die often, it's a much better learning opportunity than playing in bronze. And since you brought up this topic, it should work both ways because I'm sick to death of people well over 500 coming into my bronze match and killing everything in sight. It gives me no ability to practice and learn and these idiot do not help the teammates like me that want to learn to face down and kill the enemy. They just make me want to kill them. I personally find a much higher ranked person coming into a broze game to be far worse than someone going up one level. If you want to institue such a thing it should work both ways and it should give some range to people like me who run with a team that is skilled for silver, wants to play silver but also wants to help me learn because they're just that awesome.
In short, my opinion is this his the worst idea ever and if they institute it, then they should institute something that keep me from getting dumped into a gold match on wave 8 because that sucks.

This isn't exactly true. N7 rankings do mean something. Sure, you can't tell a player's skill just by N7 ranking, but on average, an N7 500 player will be better than an N7 50 player. Of course there are exceptions, but I'm talking about averages.

Stupid idea is stupid. Would kill
matchmaking, leaving aside that N7 means almost nothing when it comes to
skill. I'm only 450, but I'm more than good enough for Plat.
It's not a stupid idea. It's a suggestion for one way that novice players could be kept out of the higher levels they're clearly not ready for. It's not a perfect solution by any means, but it's more than most people have offered.

I like the idea of n7 score determining what level you can play on. but I wouldnt make the restrictions that high. 500 hours is like 20 days...and it would go silver-250 N7, gold 400 n7, Plat 500 N7.
Much better numbers. +1

Good point and I like it a lot except in my case where I run with a team that plays silver as the norm and doesn't care that I'm a bronze N7 153. But it also doesn't take into account that we get levels from packs when we get certain characters. So it really does make the entire thing utterly useless. It also doesn't take into consideration that someone who has 2000+ should never be in bronze since all they do is clean the board and give the true bronze players no chance to learn a thing. I've seen that happen nearly a dozen times which is why I only play with my partner or my team now unless I'm itching to play or just that bored or am close to promoting.
Also, it should be considered that a lot of people have no idea about promoting. I didn't until a few days ago. I'd be into the 200 range by now if I did. People on this forum have to remember that there are a lot of MP players that do not come here and learn all these little details. They simply play they game for the fun factor not realizing a thing about nerf, buffs, promotes, etc. So someone could have great skill but have never promoted a character because they don't understand it. I asked 5 people about the N7 number before I finally got a straight answer which may not even be all inclusive as to what it is but it gives me a much better idea. 5 people who played regularly had no idea what it stood for, and they did extremely well in the game.
