For my mod I want to create a custom character, who has a very unique appearance. I want to treat the character model like how the Lady of the Forest and Lust Demon are set up, in that the body is all one solid piece and only the head is removable. In regards to the equiping any armor/weapons onto her I want to treat it how Dog and Shale are set up, in that only two slots are available and basic appearance remains unchanged.
I'm aware that I could go the custom hair/eyes/tattoo/armor/facemorph route, but then it would be in conflict with any mods that also modify the hair/eyes/tattoo/armor list. I'd rather just export and edit the LotF model. It's nearly naked anyways, so can work as a good base to add armor/clothing on.
I have Zbrush, Maya, and Max available to me and already installed ChewyGumBall's 3dsmax script, but how to take a model from the game and then convert it to be used in Max is a bit beyond me. I've found some directions on how to get 3dsmax models into the game, but not the other way around. I also can't figure out how to use tazpn's command line tools. I have no idea how to install it properly, much less how to use it....
How do I convert the actual polygon portion + skeleton of LotF for use in Max?
How do I use tazpn's command line tools?
Help.
