I beat it 3 times, once with each class. Wanna solo on my next run. Whats better Rouge or Aracane warrior?
Tips would be awesome.

pure DEX Rogue. with defense rating reaching upto 180, you can just sleep through battles lol

Rogues will be Dual-Wielding backstabbers!

You will need Stealth for hiding,attacking,hiding etc.

If you wanna be more defensive a pure DEX build is more recommended then the higher-dps CUN 2w Rogue.



Arcane Warriors will have a hard time till lvl 7(especially after the 1.02 Patch).

You will also concentrate on 1 attribute(MAG) and tank anything that comes.



Its the question what you prefer more: a (sometimes boring) Terminator, that chips aways the hitpoints.



Or a pinpoint striking Backstabber, who must use all possible options(stealth, bows, traps, poisons) and is more comparable to Rambo.

Also should I spend talent points on Archery as well as duel wield? Seems like arrow of slaying would come in handy.

dex based rogue or warrior, either will have extremely high def and very nice damage. as a rogue you may not have spare points for archery but a warrior probably will; at lest thats the way it worked out for me. really depends on what you want out of the build.

Well.. human... DA:O is the first RPG, where humans are better Rogues than Elfs ^^ lol
But doesnt really matter. Take Dalish or City-Elf; maybe one Origin you havent used until now.

Archery:-Dalish Rogues would have 1 talentpoint automatically in Bows.
But until Arrow of Slaying... you would be too "dissolved".

Remember you will need Stealth4 as soons as possible(dont forget lvl req.).
Then the talents of the Dirty-Fighting tier are helpful for faster killing(the passive ones+ Dirty Fighting combined i.e.)
Open Locks is a hard-case. 1 point at the beginning is ok. If you wanna open all locks and disarm all traps is not a question of loot, but a question of Exp.- a balance is needed(dont forget enemy level scaling: lets say you get 1 level more, but every single enemy gets it also 1<x).
If you go for Max.Cunning this will be not necessary(+ Coercion needs only 1 lvl.)

2-Weapon Fighting: The 3rd Line is necessary. 2 AoE talents (1st and 4th tier) and the nice Momentum sustain.
The passive ones you can take later( Veshialle+Rose Thorn or Rose Thorn+another dagger is better/faster than 2 main-hand weapons)
And the 2nd Line is for mid-level fights. The attacks can make you some spectacular looking fights.
--- If you want to let the 1st and 3rd tier wait, you could take some levels in Bow-talents.
But thats ofc only useful for DEX-Rogues and not for the ones with CUN.

Yes..

With 27 talent-points on level 22 you have decide carefully.

12 2-Weapn talents
12 Bow-talents
16 Rogue-talents
8 Specialization-talents
= 48 talents!

Core-talents:
7 Rogue-talents
4 2-Weapon talents

Specializations(all 4 specs are useful, you dont have to be Assa/Duelist)
3 Assa-talents(last is bugged)
3 Bard-telents(you dont have to be CUN Rogue for effectiveness)
4 Ranger-talents(ofc some will say this is no real solo-build *g)
0-3-4( depends... DEX-Rogues dont need the sustain, for CUN Rogues useful. The 4th tier is a matter of taste...)

So... on average you will need at least 15-17 talent points. Which gives you some personal customization of about 4-12 (1-3 talent tiers).

A 2 handed warrior. A rogues archer or dual wielder (make use of poisons + stealth +traps.) An arcane warrior mage.



I'm playing through as a caster mage solo in NM. Level 14 so far.
