So far this weekend I have managed to complete about 1/3 of the matches I've played, the other 2/3 are disconnects and most last until the last few waves before disconnecting. At least I had a couple lvl 20 characters left to promote so I could participate in the weekend event, because I'm not getting anything for XP with this issue.
I've started only playing on Bronze in an attempt to get games COMPLETED before being disconnected so I at least get SOME credits and XP and don't waste my items that get used up even when the match disconnects. I can only imagine how much medigel and one match amps/ammo powers I have wasted with these diconects invalidating my whole experience.
Is there any way to get up the galactic readiness % other than playing multiplayer? I'm currently playing through in single player again, and I'm stuck around 75% galactic readiness because I can't get enough matches to complete without DISCONNECT. =(

Got a reply from EA Help after submitting traceroutes and host polling tests:I appreciate your prompt reply with the UO Trace files. I've reviewed the file and found no issue with the Internet connection.
It looks like the issue is more complex than what it initially seemed and more time is required for investigation. I am escalating issue to the higher tier. We apologize for any prolonged delays this might cause but please be assured that we are trying to handle your issue in a timely manner.
During this time, you may still update your case with additional information that might help us to resolve your issue without causing any additional delay
Server error is my guess as well.
Nice. An explanation.
I consider myself a very patient person but what the hell, man. Thank God Operation Alloy didn't require anything except promoting characters.
Can it be possible that someone will release a game of Mass Effect quality without all the additional server errors and bull**** that we've had to put up with? It's 2012 and I've paid $60 for a game that I can't even type chat in.

Things I have done:
Port forwarding to 3659
Turned UPnP off
Ensured exception was present for ME3 in firewall and antivirus
Disabled Cloud Sync in Origin
Restored local saves in Origin
I have a feeling that the last 2 are the key ones. It only worked after I disabled Cloud Sync and restored the local saves.
Worth a shot if you haven't done it already.

I guess this gets the back burner until they can rake in more money from the DLC, Which of course is only for SP.

I don't think it's bioware, it's "outsourced" to EA/Origin. That's what you get when you don't use your chance to buy bioware before EA gets they hand on em!
but I play other MP games through EA/Origin with no issues what so ever, so it looks like it does point back to Bioware.

And not everyone has the same problems with Mass Effect's MP. I have a friend who plays as regularly as I do and he gets disco'd once, maybe twice in a week. I just had five in a row DC me. IF you do a google search for "you have lost your connection to the ea servers" you'll find forum posts complainig about this problem on virtually every MP game EA has their fingers in. FIFA Socer. Battlefield 3. I even saw one guy ranting about how it ruined his perfect 100% win ratio in Tiger Woods PGA Tour. The more research I do trying to figure out how to fix the problem, the more I'm realizing the problem is an unstable and overloaded server system on EA's end. As long as everything is working good, you're ok, but the second you get any congestion or packet loss between you and them, the EA server loses track of you and sends a DC signal, ending your matchy (or charactr editing, or assigning powers, or just trying to even log into MP sometimes)

This thread is almost 5 months old. They're aware of this problem since April and did nothing about it. They constantly ask for a bit more time to resolve this issue but 5 monts?! You gotta be kidding me.
EA also launched this site: http://answers.ea.co...p/mass-effect-3 Which I guess is a place where gamers are supposed to share their knowledge.
In a my interpretation: EA has no idea what they are doing therefore they want gamers to solve their own problems.

Never used cloud sync, never had disconnects. Coincidence?
