Hmm, strangely enough it has been better for me the last 3 days. No disconnects and the store goes superfast. Was horrible at least a week before that, to me it seems it is related to operations, updates and DLCs. Before, during and after these kind of things, I always seem to have problems with getting disconnected from the ME3 server. I also did something new on my PC, like I installed all the windows updates that was waiting (was houndreds of MBs because I didn't want them earlier), I removed DNS relay on my router and I changed transmit and receive rate on my network card. But I still think it's when there are server updates coming/ongoing, so I guess I will have to confirm that when the next update/operation is.

While that sounds very nice, I still haven't been able to finish a single game in the last three days. And hardly any over the last three weeks.

I simply can't believe this isn't getting addressed.

Hi!

I had this issue with the game disconnecting from servers, so I took notes about my network, computer, and game settings. It seems the Origin beta update solved the problem for me.

Let me show you my notes, on the first page you can see my settings, the secound page is about game statistics, disconnections and other interesting stuff.

http://dl.dropbox.co...220007/ME3.xlsx

I hope it helps.

ps. I've also posted this message in the related EA forum topic:

So if this is a forum for fans to help other fans. Where the hell are we supposed to submit issues like these to the developer? I don't think this is something fans can fix. This was never a problem until very recently. It would be nice if we could get some feedback from someone that moderates the forums. Even if it is the generic "we're working on it" post.

Calling them on the phone or using the chat utility mostly leads to being told to post on the forums. Only once in a great while does anything more than a scripted list of things to do ever get done before being told to go to forums. I think the EA help people think network works or something...they don't even have a remotely tiny sliver of a clue that the shop still has problems other than from lobbies. Once THEY can't see an issue via testing PLAYER network setup, it is treated as though the player is crazy and seeing ghosts that don't exist so it must be the player. Posting here is a direct quote of many help desk encounters...you can submit issues there, but unless it is something tangible in terms of their origin player ID, nothing really happens.

I really hope EA/Bioware is working on this problem. ME3 MP is one of the onl MP that I enjoy.

someone amuse me and try this, enable update to beta in application setting and turn off cloud storage, restart origin to make it update and make sure cloud storage is still off. start a new single player game then save and try multiplayer... i haven't had one disconnect after doing this earlier

OK, did it and didn't help. Or should I do it every time I start the game?

Crossed my mind to try some few guaranteed instructions:
- say a prayer before starting the game
- drink a brew from dead bird
- break an egg under the bed
- perform a shamanistic ritual
- have my forehead tatooed with words - In EA we trust

Orly? And I was about to suggest breaking down the Internet and burning down the Earth. Now that's a relief.

I would, but my mother has always taught me to avoid tatooing anything satanic on my body.

Tried it. Didn't work. Nothing has. In fact, it just keeps getting worse. I used to love playing MP. Now it's just an exercise in frustration that makes me want to pull a Doc Gonzo through EA's front door.

So this morning I received this message from EA support center:

ADVISOR: Hello *****,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We’ve been receiving similar contacts.

Please don’t worry this issue is our priority at the moment and our Developers are working to fix this at the earliest. However, you can try to connect any local server to play the game.

Electronic Arts believes in offering exceptional service to our customers. We explore all the possibilities in doing so. However, we apologize for the disappointment. Please get back to us in case of any questions. You may also check out our online assistance here http://help.ea.com/

Wow, a (kind of) proper response!

Well, at least they're acknowledging it. Though "this issue is our priority at the moment" is something I'll believe when it starts working again. It looks better than the usual POS support response though.

I finally got it to work!

What I did was that I disabled UPnP on my router and opened the port 3659 UDP. And that was all I needed to do! Thanks to Caratinoid!

not really, even I turn my router as DMZ (Open All Port, gives public IP directly to a computer) it still happens.

Well, I had this problem for about 2 and a half weeks. But today I had no disconnects at all. It seems that after several port forwards and messing with UPnP the thing that helped was updating to beta version on Origin (application settings). Either that or they started fixing the servers. Or I'm extremely lucky.

Opened up a ticket with tech support a few days ago, I can't really believe that this is EA's suggestion (along with opening up the usual ports, yawn):

1. Turn off any software firewall
2. Turn off any hardware firewall
3. Turn off any antivirus programs

Sounds like real great advice to me! *sarcasm*
