I know. It would be awesome if they could let us know it's being looked into.

Other than not running other network apps at the same time (e.g., steam), only BW can fix this. It is a software issue, not a network issue, and not a server issue.

Many of us have asked for comments for a long time. Seems to be against their policy.

On top of me never being able to host a game (any time another player joins my game I disconnect a wave or two later) the last few days have seen the store itself hilariously broken on my end.
Decided to try my luck with Bioware points and purchased A PSP,,disconnected before I could see the contents of the pack. Then couldn't get back into multiplayer for a good 40 mins and when I did,low and behold the contents instantly showed up.Phew.

Then bought 4 normal Spectre packs, and while the store took my points,it wouldnt show contents of said packs, until again,I disconnected.

Finally got back in this morning and tried to use the remaining points in the hope that the previous packs would miraculously appear and got frozen on the "Please Wait.." pop up.After 20 minutes of that I rebooted the game to find my multiplayer reset to zero and all equipment and characters gone.Knew of this bug from others so after a short panic attack,I rebooted again.

Murk Loar,
I also get this problem.  When you can actually get into the game (which I can't at the moment, it was fine until last Fri updates then got progressively worse - it must be the successful Op Olympus which fried the servers or sommat).

If you buy a pack, wait until you get the "ME3 has lost its conn". (or if the game crashes it doesn't seem to matter with this particular bug, you did used to lose stuff before)
1) Come out of the game at that point.
2) Log out of Origin and the exit from it.
3) Go back into Origin and Login again.
4) Finally, go back into ME3 and MP, then go into the store, you should get you pack pop up then.

Sadly, you have to do this each time, apparently they broke the store as well with that last update.  Also this works to cure the missing char information.  I don't bother rebooting.  It's a ME3/Origin problem so that shouldn't be necessary.  If ME3 crashes just go back to desktop and go into Task Manager and End Process for ME3.

I had hoped this problem had finally been resolved. As .458 says, it's not new, been going on since the game was about 2 months old. It seemed ok initially.

I can play other EA games ok, so it would appear to be just a ME3 problem. I had these problems for about a month and a half. Finally got back on to playing without disconnects (just the store issues) then last Fri, back to being kicked off. And the the really funny thing....I've got a separate issue to this and you can't even report it via the EA Tech Support site because that just hangs as well...

A note for BioWare: It appears that cloud storage is the workaround. But why does cloud storage get the information needed, while the game without it does not? Something that propagates to the cloud storage does not propagate to the local game. This should be a pretty big clue for debugging. Or at least a smoking gun.

Workaround? Does that mean you found out how to stop it?

Happens to be me pretty much every game now.

I'm effectively experiencing a ME3 MP blackout.

Guys, please report it to Origin support (PC users, open Origin, click Help menu, Origin Help, then the Live Chat button).

The more we report it the better.

Oh, I reported it. I sent an email, then I had a chat with someone. Of course, as much as I told them it isn't just me..they just kept telling me things that could be the issue. I must of said this wasn't an issue on my end five times. Therefore, I am going to talk to someone else about it in another chat session.

Same problem here. I wonder if somebody from the community already tried to pinpoint this to a certain piece of hardware or a specific driver or a specific setting. Because it is most likely something related to networking I will give my networking details. If certain network adaptors or certain drivers are have more problems then others then we might get somewhere. I am using an Intel 82579V onboard networkadaptor. With driver version 12.0.15.0 provided by Microsoft. I noticed that my OS could shutdown the networkcard to safe power. Perhaps that is the issue.

For a boat load of people to have the same problem with the same game, who likely have very different hardware....it doesn't seem likely this is not a bug in the game.

Update: Perhaps they found something after all...
Even if they didn't, hopefully this somehow fixes it.

I reported
six or seven times in Live Chat during the last 60 hours about "You have lost connection to the mass effect 3 server.". Apparently they are tired of me. Last answer "I'm escalating your case to our expert team.":D
Next time I'll ask compensate waste of equipment and ask to add credits that are not received due to lost connections.

No, that is why it is a bug still. Cloud storage seems to be a way to repair it if you use it every time. I don't have it on in the first place, so it isn't possible to restore this way at all. It is a workaround only for those who normally have cloud storage on, and every time this issue occurs, the person with cloud storage has to go through this. Stop no, intervene without calling EA help yes. For some people. Oh, this also applies only to lost shop purchases.

So that's why I managed to play one game. I had previously turned it off, then turned it back on and had the cloud storage override my local storage. Then I managed to play one game fully. After that game, it didn't let me play through another. I'll say that's one of the most annoying fixes, as it only fixes you for one game. The current system setup makes no sense though, why would you make it sync your profile DURING a match? I mean, if there's a problem encountered, we're at where we are now.

Update: I suppose this could be experimented with. I'll tell you what I did, but I'm not sure if it'll work again. It could of just been a good game. Anyhow, before starting the game, I re-enabled cloud storage. Of course, this was after I launched the game once without cloud storage on and attempted to play a match. I played until it kicked me out toward the middle and quit the game. So, I had new local save data. After re-enabling the cloud storage, I had it override my local files with the one's in the cloud. Then I launched the game and played, expecting to be kicked out. Oddly enough, I wasn't. So I played a complete round, tried another, and it kicked me out. I haven't tried a second time, but I feel I'll have to repeat these steps. So I guess since my previous progress was saved in the cloud, I just disabled it and boot up Mass Effect 3 and go into multiplayer. I'm not sure if you have to go into a game and wait until you are kicked out. But, a new MP save needs to be created. Then you likely quit the game, re-enabled cloud storage which overrides the local data with the game you just played with cloud storage enabled.

Game is currently unplayable for me. Get in, play 1 to 3 rounds, get booted. Every single time.

I don't know what is saved or restored through cloud (beyond single player, which is obvious), but this would be the only thing that it can work around...things saved, things restorable. Shop purchases are the big example, in case of disconnect during purchase. It is possible something like war assets/readiness has an effect as well, but I really have no idea how the cloud behaves for individual multiplayer games...just about everything in this game seems to have a side-effect on something else. You'd probably have to be the developer that works on cloud to make any sense of it, beyond shop failures.

Thanks for this advice, seems to be working ,except when I get frozen out completely.I also noticed it only happening when you use points, not in game credits,so there's definitely a problem with the EA-Origin store connection there.

It is sad however that it needs to come to constant logging out/logging in just get something from the store

"Bioware servers unavailable at this time" error message for the last couple weeks. ME3 unplayable for me too.

EA tech support clueless. Any joint courses of action? I'm in.

Well, I guess I didn't really check if it saved.

I don't understand why people keep saying "check your firewall." Clearly everyone here has been playing before the patch and only have issues now. They did not all suddenly get firewalls or change their settings. The game's network software was change and screwed with everyone's connection reliability. The correct action here is to call for BioWare to FIX the problem they created with the patch.

I hope bioware is looking into refunding the many MANY equipment items lost due to a disconnect issue.... I have lost so many armor, weapon and ammo packs it's not even funny...
Maybe ME3 has been hacked and Bioware is just hush hushing it until they get it figured out... wouldn't surprise me at all...

They pretend that the problem does not exist, because they can not solve it. Convenient policy - pretend blind.
It follows that the probability of solving the problem is zero. Maybe when they are once again going to do maintenance work on the server - accidentally fix the problem.
