You know what I just though of? A way to make this alot less ****. The ability to reconnect to a game if you get disconnected. Your score gets recorded and if you reconnect in a certain time limit you get to keep it and play on. Why the hell can't they do this?

Yesterday I played eight games and there was no disconnection. Before the game, turned off the transmission network statistics.
Once turned on, the connection was lost on the second wave.

The transmission what now? Also, where does one find such an option?

Responded to a personal letter and will write here for others.
I have russian version of game. I do not know how it was written in the original, I have translated from russian.
Settings (in game) - Network Settings (the lowest point in the settings) - there is only one item - turn off.
P.S. Today just played about 8 games, no disconnection.

I agree, this would be a VERY GOOD THING FOR BIOWARE TO DO. In bold because I hope someone there reads this and implements this on the fast track. Right now the friend list is the only way to do this...but that means they have the code! What BW needs to do is create a temp friends list addition that applies to the game in progress and to the last game within say 2 minutes...to be deleted after 2 minutes of leaving the game. There are a number of problems which can only be fixed by exiting the game and rejoining as well...if the option menu for exiting a game included a button to REJOIN, then the exit button could simply erase the temporary friend list from that specific person who is leaving. Otherwise, there would come a two minute window in which the person leaving is competing with the system for automatically adding someone who is searching for a game.

This would be the game feedback option related to origin through multiplayer options. I can see how this would help in a number of cases. If you do not provide feedback to origin, you cannot participate in weekend events. However, as long as that does not matter, this particular connection won't need to connect. There are more connections that can be lost, including between host and client...but if this helps, then that means there is one IP address which is having difficulty...the one used in game feedback. WILL SOMEONE AT BIOWARE PLEASE ADD A GAME FEEDBACK RE-TRY???

It's even easier than that. See, if you get this message you are still connected to the hosting player which means you never lost connection to the game in the first place and can just continue to play. Not sure why you need that separate connection to ea server, maybe for game statistics? it does look that way. Could look in to it but don't have much time and data seems to be encrypted.

Turning feedback off doesn't do ****. That connection is still there, just checked. Also as I said that server is stable, it's your game which decides to stop sending data at some point for what ever reason.

Hey you can try this. Set that value to 23000. It will insure that a special keep-alive packet is sent every 23 seconds if connection is idle. I can confirm that it does have an effect on some origin connections, that is that packet is being sent alright, so it will improve connection stability a bit. This is a harmless fix but don't do it if you are a complete registry noob.

I think it's the EA server which is losing connection to the client though, not the other way around. It's like the EA server doesn't have very long before it considers a connection timed out.

It doesn't really lose a connection it simply closes it (in normal way). At least I never seen a disconnect caused by the server. As I said it looks like  the game itself stops sending data (due to a bug?) for some reason. But then again I have never seen a disconnect during a game (never!). Maybe you can record one with traffic sniffer? It looks like you can easely reproduce the disconnect. It would clear some things up for sure.

On the UDP portion data will stop sending without it being a bug if a buffer fills for even a moment. Makes me wonder if windows 7 has an easy way to increase the size of the IP layer buffer. So far as data being encrypted, I doubt that it is...much more likely it is compressed and/or binary. Too many export laws to get good encryption, and cheap encryption is pointless.

It's a TCP connection. And it is encrypted with SSL I think, just like most origin connections. You can increase that buffer on windows if the developers didn't set it in code, default is 8 kb if I remember correctly but then again it's for UDP. This error message has nothing to do with that, nothing!

I wish there was some way to kill off the Origin connection and play for a day or so,just to test.

I can't even connect at all to play a multiplayer game. It can be either a quick match or creating my own match, but I don't get anyone. I doubt it's my connection, because I just bought a Veteran Pack no problem.

Have you tried creating your own match, making the other slots private and playing solo?Because this happened to me at the start. Then, I realized I was probably the only person on the servers who didn't have all the DLCs. Downloaded the one I'd missed and bam, suddenly there was matches galore.

So has anyone tried this yet? It can help with origin connections.

Speaking of origin I was messing with it a bit today, and well it looks like they increased number of connections it needs tomake since last update. For example: it creates ten simultanious connections to friends.dm.origin.com. More connections means greater chanse for your router to go crazy so maybe that's the reason of disconnects for some people. There are also some design problems here and there, like trying to connect to some server, then waiting for extended period of time (no keep-alives), closing that connection and then immediatly connecting again to the same server. That is baaaad. I can indeed see that that server will eventually start to refuse those connection attemts and start replying with the 'get lost message' (RST) every single time.

Yeah, I even mentioned it in my message, and yes, I have all the DLCs.

Well so far I have opened ports, added executables to firewall, they run as admin, I've updated firmware on router, I tested ports to ensure they are open, I have adjusted my KeepAliveTime to 23 seconds... and I still get this error. I'm done making adjustments this is obviously software related.
