I'm done with ME3. Time to go play some Team Fortress 2: Mann vs Machine. At least THEY have stable network code and zero network interdependencies. I'll let you know if it disconnects me, too.

Also BioWare/EA, just FYI, when the hosting player leaves and the game "restarts the current wave"... it doesn't. It puts me back at the character and equipment page. Again: nice.
Screw the DLC and the rip-off "BioWare Points" system. I'd like my game to WORK.

I have zero problems during the week. I had problems when the last operation kicked off, but only a couple. Nothing since.
Today? Let's see
- I was unable to get to multiplayer, at all. I restarted Origin/ME3
- Got into multiplayer, promoted a class, and rolled a new toon.
- Found a lobby, but before the match started I got a message that I'd been d/c'd.
- Logged back in. Couldn't get into a match. No available games/lobbies when searching.
So - started my own game. No other players joined, so I went soloing.
- One other player joined at wave 3. Just the one. At wave 6 he d/c'd or dropped. I wiped.
- Couldn't get into another match for a little bit, then caught one at wave 3, and had a few waves with them before *I* d/c'd at wave 6.
- Got kicked back to the main menu, and told I needed to log into Origin. Closed game.
- Sure enough, Origin screen says I'm offline now. Logged into Origin. Started game again.
- Get to main menu and I get a message that the ME servers are unavailable at this time.
Came here to gripe.
Sometimes it seems these operations are EA/Bioware's means of load testing the servers, sometimes with bad results. Why else would the experience be so different every time? If it's so, what a hideous way to erode the customer experience.

I promoted my only level 20 class, and tried to get my Infiltrator up, but these issues are seriously making me want to skip this weekend's event. (I've never earned a Victory pack, FYI...and I really wanted to earn one this weekend.)

Just a question. Can anyone who is having constant dropouts list their tracert to the EA server? it seems a friend of mine is having trouble with a node called sanjose .. This may be a routing issue, which has to be solved by ISPs.
Was hoping to see if anyone had problems with the same nodes, for those outside and inside of the US.
If you can provide me with the IP to the EA server, I can try.
While in game bring up windows task manager, on "Perfomance" tab select "Resource
Monitor", on the "Network" tab check "MassEffect3.exe" in the list of
processes and you should see one TCP connection under "TCP connections".
Check remote address, it's Mass effect 3 server, mine is 92.52.77.245., DNS name that gives that ip :
"383933-gosprapp396.ea.com". Do you see same ip?

Question for you: when you do that and look at your send & receive stats, how big is the difference for you? Something seems off about mine.Caratinoid wrote...

In 20 years of gaming, I have never been so frustrated. The entire problem here is that mulitplayer is incredibly fun and intense, and suddently (repeatedly) disconnecting in the middle/end of an exciting match is one of the painful experiences a game could possibly create.
I pay a lot for FIOS and have practically no latency to your servers. That doesn't stop them from *repeatedly ruining my night*.
I've also opened all the suggested UDP ports on my broadband router. Nothing has changed.
You need to fix this or at least let us know that it's being investigated.

I contacted EA help and no result. My case is "escalated" and a "specialist" will contact me via e mail in 3 days. (Bye bye event).
All this is old story for me because the same thing happened to the previous event. The solution was to change something about how the Origin connects to EA servers (they did that) and after givining me a new code for the game.
I also experienced many disconnections the previous days( when the game was working).
Guys, it is Origin's problem. It is EA's problem. It is not from your side.

I cannot even enter the multiplayer anymore. In the main menu it tells me that I am connected, but when I press on the multiplayer tab, after five minutes of being stuck in the loading screen it suddenly tells me that I lost my connection.
I cannot even participate in this weeks operation. It would take me 2 seconds to promote all of my 6 classes, all sitting at 20, but NO. I can't even connect. FANTASTIC.

I am suddenly getting this problem too, however for me it's even worse than for most of you.

Look at how to see addresses for ME3 from above:
http://social.biowar...7651/7#13826225
Wait a few seconds after you press for multiplayer, take a screenshot (alt-prtscrn if focused...you probably have to increase the column width of addresses, then paste into wordpad). Then from a DOS prompt, run "tracert <each address>". See if any get past your local net. If they show a few hops, then it definitely isn't at your end. Go from there. But, FYI, this does not test particular ports and does not test those ports on UDP, it simply tells you if you are able to reach beyond your local net.

I have a ticket running, but nothing usefull so far. Also did a live chat, but nothing helped.
What I did to try convince the Bioware/EA techs it is not my PC that is the problem:
- Run UOTrace utility as requested, everything is fine!
- Open up ports, ran a portchecker, came back perfect!
- Cleared DNS cache.
- Disabled windows firewall, router firewall and antivirus.
- Removed savegames.
- Disabled Cloud storage.
- Closed or uninstalled all network related appliction such as VPN clients and Citrix plugin.
- Run Origin and ME3 as administrator
- Run the repair option.
- Login to the administrator account directly (the one that is disabled in W7 by default).
- Uninstalled Origin and ME3 and installed while logged in as administrator.
- Installed Origin and ME3 with firewalls and AV off.
- Unregistered ME3 and registered it again on the Bioware website as the tech requested.
I think this clearly show this is a not a problem of the local machine or the internet connection. But those techs need to ask you these questions, I have answered all of them and now they havn't contacted me for a few days.
@Bioware/EA: I think it is time to get this problem solved. We paid for a game and all we do is waste our time for nothing!
