So I decided I didn't trust the krogan. I had to stop the cure. And, because I played the previous two games, the only way to do this was to backstab Mordin.
Also, even though I had the choice to save both the quarians and the geth, I chose to kill the geth as I don't trust synthetics.
Opinions. I was playing as a neutral character, decisions which I thought were best for the galaxy as a whole.

If you'd been playing your character consistently anti-krogan, you would have had the option to save Mordin.

Even then, both of the actions he's describing are classified as Renegade, so for the sake of simplicity, he still isn't neutral.
