Did a google search, and maybe that didn't do it justice, but the only thing that I saw that Tieflings and Qunari have in common were horns, other than that, they look pretty different. Tieflings have cloven hooves/goat legs, tails, and horns. While Qunari are just giant people with metallic skin and horns.Sylvanpyxie wrote...
I can't seriously be the only one that sees Tieflings in this.....Speaking of that concept art: I found it:
Really.

Maybe I'm out of the loop, but why is everyone calling them "Kossiths"? Regarding what they could be, I see no reason why we couldn't have a female Qunari warrior, she rehects the Qun and wants to fight, so she flees to whatever province/country DA3 takes place in, where the Protagonist then meets her. The Sarebaas route could also be cool, but uh, don't they cut their tongues out? Kind of hard for a her to be a LI if she can't talk. Or, agian, she could run before they got to that point.TelvanniWarlord wrote...

To bad they're all artisans, shopkeepers and farmers. <_< In all honesty however, the only way I could a female kossith being a companion is either A) a Sarebaas oran Artisan like an engineer who creates explosives.

Or we could have a Kossith companion instead of a Qunari one so we wont have to worry about making up a story as to why they aren't a shopkeeper. Simple :>
Kossith is the name of the race.

Because 'qunari' refers to the followers of the religious philosophy and includes people of all races who follow the Qun, not to the tall, horned, metallic-skinned people, who are Kossith. Someone who rejected the Qun would NOT be a qunari.
Supposedly the qunari cut out the tongues of their mages, but DA2 contradicts this with whats-his-face, who could talk well enough there was clearly nothing wrong with his tongue.

Oh, ok, thanks for clearing that up. I was under the impression that Qunari was the race. It certaintly sounds like it when you talk to any of the Kossith. When is the name of the race(Kossith) mentioned? I don't remember it from DA2, but then again, I only played through 1 3/4 times. The only Qunari mage I remember from DA2 didn't talk very well at all. He only made gargles, gurgles, and grunts. Was there one in a DLC?Silfren wrote...

Cassandra mentions (before Mark of the Assassin starts) that the Qunari are not a race but a religion. But I don't believe that "Kossith" had been applied to the actual race ingame.
Nope, same Qunari mage. During that quest end boss guy waves his phallic wand thing and "magically" Ketojan can talk. Surprised you didn't see that, no matter what he ALWAYS ends up speaking to Hawke (and almost getting you killed)
I'm wondering when they mentioned that they cut out a mages tongue...seems way too excessive to be true.

Ahh, that would explain it, I never bought any of the DA2 DLC(lost interest after my first playthrough and really had to force myself most of the way through my second). I only played through the game fully once, and that was when it came out. So I kind of forgot that he talked at the end of the mission(had to go look up a video). As for the tongue cutting out thing, I want to say that Sten mentions it in DA:O, but I don't think so. I know it gets mentioned somewhere. I'd check the Arishock to see if he says anything about it, but him and Sten are the only two who I can think of who might mention it. It could be figuratively(sic) since that one in DA2 talked after being "unbound" so, maybe the just mean they silence them? Since it appears that his mouth was sewn shut and had a curse/spell on him to stop him from talking.Alexandrine Delassixe wrote...

But the Warden can (perhaps jokingly) mention that Shale is suddenly a lot cuter once her true nature is revealed. Shale remarks with nervousness that she will feel very awkward if the Warden begins staring at her ass.
THE SHALE ROMANCE CAN HAPPEN. We just need to chisel her down a bit.

Yeah, we definitely need to get Shale back into a cute dwarf body. Of course she may not actually prefer that...
Shale in female kossith body for The Next Thing - make it happen, people!

I don't know why but I love Shale on this playthrough.
She's very cynical , and dry...But as a male flattering her about her slimming crystal ,Telling her I was watching her derriere etc...it was so fun.
She can be really girlie too ...
If she wasn't made of stone , my elf would have break up with Morrigan for her.
I hope one day we'll see her again.
