I'm with the people who don't want previously romanceable characters. However, what I would like to see are romances that aren't necessarily sparked by love or physical attraction (essentially political arrangements).

Bi Cullen.

And i will romance him with a mage (who specializes in blood magic) mwahahahaha.

but something more in depth would be good. Like if Cullen was a LI maybe he could call me out on my blood magic and maybe I could explain to him the blood magic in it of itself isnt bad its the application (whether he hears me out or not is another story entirely).

Lots of mention of the romance from other NPC and companions.

And bring back DA:O's abilit to make out with your LI whenever you want (especially when out in the field. making the others uncomfortable was priceless).

You could also romance them in just underclothes, which was interesting in a "cringe worthy" sort of way.

Maybe I'm out of the loop, but why is everyone calling them "Kossiths"? Regarding what they could be, I see no reason why we couldn't have a female Qunari warrior, she rehects the Qun and wants to fight, so she flees to whatever province/country DA3 takes place in, where the Protagonist then meets her. The Sarebaas route could also be cool, but uh, don't they cut their tongues out? Kind of hard for a her to be a LI if she can't talk. Or, agian, she could run before they got to that point.

Because 'qunari' refers to the followers of the religious philosophy and includes people of all races who follow the Qun, not to the tall, horned, metallic-skinned people, who are Kossith.  Someone who rejected the Qun would NOT be a qunari.

Supposedly the qunari cut out the tongues of their mages, but DA2 contradicts this with whats-his-face, who could talk well enough there was clearly nothing wrong with his tongue.

Oh, ok, thanks for clearing that up. I was under the impression that Qunari was the race. It certaintly sounds like it when you talk to any of the Kossith. When is the name of the race(Kossith) mentioned? I don't remember it from DA2, but then again, I only played through 1 3/4 times. The only Qunari mage I remember from DA2 didn't talk very well at all. He only made gargles, gurgles, and grunts. Was there one in a DLC?

No, Ketojan (Finally remembered his name) actually will speak to you at the end of that quest.  Can't remember offhand which dialogue options trigger it, but he'll say to Hawke, "this is wrong.  But you deserve honor," and a few other short phrases as well.  His voice is gravelly and weak, but he forms the words clearly enough there's no issue with understanding him.  I'm pretty sure he wouldn't be able to do that much if his tongue were cut out.

Cassandra mentions (before Mark of the Assassin starts) that the Qunari are not a race but a religion. But I don't believe that "Kossith" had been applied to the actual race ingame.

Nope, same Qunari mage. During that quest end boss guy waves his phallic wand thing and "magically" Ketojan can talk. Surprised you didn't see that, no matter what he ALWAYS ends up speaking to Hawke (and almost getting you killed)

I'm wondering when they mentioned that they cut out a mages tongue...seems way too excessive to be true.

Sten makes a reference to it at some point in the Redcliffe quest with Jowan, I think, stating "This is why the [antaam?] cut the tongues from mages," (he either says "the antaam" or "the qunari" I believe--the former refers to the qunari who are appointed to be those who control the mages).

I'm guessing it was an early reference that was discarded early on without that statement being excised from Origins, or dropped before DA2 went live, since the qunari DO actually use their mages, and it would be kind of difficult for a mage to recite any spells that required spoken words, if their tongues were removed--and of course we have Ketojan, whose tongue was clearly intact.  Or maybe it's just another plot bit that Bioware dropped the ball on yet again.

Kossith female (Qunari) love the big girls. ;)

Dwarf female, never been done before.

But knowing Bioware, we will get the standard human and elf romances, only.

I really like to have a companion with the voice of Sam A. Mowry that is BI .
Sam A. Mowry is the voice actor of Alexander in Amnesia:the dark descent ,his voice made the game so awesome for me even tough the Gatheres were trying to cut my head off, I'd just do a happy dance in front of them and guess what, it got me killed :D .
Damn, every time he speaks , his voice drives me mad! he sounds so formal and tough and I love formal characters. It made me read all of the Daniel/Alexander fanfics....*fangirl drool*

Kossith. Pretty please.

Cullen seems to have grown into a pretty decent fellow too, so I will cast a vote for Cullen as well.

From this thread, Kossith female seems to be a very popular choice. Wonder if the devs are taking notes?

I would prefer a male kossith, but if we get female instead that's fine too.

Could they do both? I would be happy with it, but it might be too many. Then again, they've always had at least that many humans.

A city elf romance could be interesting. If you can choose your race, there would be quite a bit of variation, though. I'd almost like to see Shianni again, but I don't think it would work in this context (not only does she not like humans much, there would be some... uncomfortable issues).

Cullen is tempting.
A kossith I really do want but that will likely only happen in my dreams since it will probably be only human and elf not even a dwarf despite their new redisgn looking so appealing.
