3. Uhh, OK?
4. I agree and I highly supsect she will be.
5. I don't see the appeal either, I wanted to kill him in DA:O.
6. LOL good call

Maybe some problems, but no "earth"-shattering ones like being possessed by spirits or having been a Sado-Maso-sex-slave his whole life through. Hell, make him having a real family all with parents ALIVE for a change that could be met at some point...
Damn...I hope "normal" will become the new "hip" one day again, I am a little tired of all those "oh so special" and "unique" characters...

This would be MARVELOUS.
Alistair fit the bill in some ways, but he had the "everyone I care about dies" thing...(don't get me wrong, I still love him, but it really would be refreshing to meet live parents) Is it really such a bad thing to like characters, especially if they're available for romance, who are not extreme or angsty or dark? Male or female (although male would be great, since it seems like Bioware is no longer interested in "nice guy" LIs), a character who may be in the middle of extraordinary circumstances, but is relatively normal and sane. They can still have personality and charm even without the bad boy tropes.

I have to admit, angst doesn't really do it for me either but I don't want boring either. I adored Alistair as well, I think what kept him from becoming boring to me was his sense of humor... oh, and the part about him possibly becoming the next king of Ferelden. That was pretty exciting.

Alistair is surely my favorite NPC in the series. I like his humour actually, and how you can help him to really grow into the future role of a king. I like that he is unsure of himself, but overcomes this, with a little help and love from the warden. Also he hates Morrigan, another plus-point (and oh, how much it pained me that she was the only way to achieve the ultimate "happy end" for Warden/Alistair)...only his constant mourning for that bastardiad Duncan I could neve rrelate to...but my Warden and me, we just smiled and ignored it, thinking secretly that Duncan is better of dead, that murderer and blackmailer...
I hope we might get someone like him again for female Wardens, and one similar for males too. Not a copy though, by all means (like...Anders part one was...).
Then for the Maker's sake add some exotic ones like a wood-legged female dwarven pirate, a bad-assed blue skinned horned Kossith clad in black leather or a bat-**** crazy elf who saw his entire family eaten alive by evil cultists while he was away hunting giant rats and now blames himself for this the entire time and only lives for revenge etc etc...

Haha, well, I'm sure that many people found that to be one of his redeeming qualities. I just don't understand why a character who would be thought of highly elsewhere suddenly becomes repulsive and reviled when they're in a video game. As long as they can be written as funny, smart, loyal, brave, or dozens of other attributes that aren't dependent on angsty/dark/edgy backstories, they can be worthy of getting to know, and can easily be anything but boring.

Human or elf would be preferrable. And please not a "cute" character like Merril or Traynor (ME3). Why not someone like Morrigan, with a rather dark and snarky attitude.

Justice was in control only in the rivarly path. In the friendship path Anders was pretty much in control, and he agreed with Justice. Though in the dialogue before you have to decide what to with him he seems a bit brainwashed
If Cassandra and Cullen are going to be companions, I'm sure that they're going to be LI. I hope that the others are going to be new characters in this case.

Personally, I have had several destructive and depressing relationships in my real life. Y'all folks who enjoy the dark doomed romances can have them too, but if I'm playing a game, I'd at least like the option of having a video game waifu who doesn't make me want to turn off my computer and go call a therapist about my issues with co-dependency.

A new character who is a bit of an ice queen. Perhaps an elf. (Not Velanna though)
And maybe a female Kossith.
For fem PC's i'd like Fergus to be a LI. Something about my canon wardens' brother being a LI seems cool.

Male Elf Mage (Offense)- For this one I'd like to see an attractive redhead or ginger with grey or green eyes. The male version of the BioWare's standard beauty trope (the red hair/green eyes). In contrast to the rogue he'd be pleasant, sweet, and somewhat shy.
Female Human Warrior (Tank)- A blonde haired, blue eyed beauty from the Anderfels or Orlesian Chevalier. Would love to see her as a sword and shield style character. Very beautiful, alluring, and has strong convictions. And an attractive accent.
Female Dwarf Rogue (Archery/Traps)- We never had a dwarven LI before, so I think she'd be interesting. Very snarky, lots of 'tude, maybe even antisocial and in your PC's face a bit. For her I'd probably have her as a brunette or dark haired girl, eye color irrelevant. Would be great if race selection returned and you could romance her as a dwarf.

(I'm not asking for all bi like DA2, just at least 2 females and 2 males so we have some choice. Could have 3 LI's of each gender. 1 straight, 1 gay and 1 bi. Mass Effect did well with that kind of thing.)

I want a decent female lesbian or bi romance. One that can live up to the straight ones and isn't just a bit of half assed fanservice.
This^
Leliana just felt like fan service to me, it never truly felt like she distinguished the Female from the male counterpart wardens.I liked merrill but she felt more like my little sister than my lover.Isabella hit the nail on the head just right, even tho she was bi, she felt more female oriented, give me more of that.

Other games do fine without them. Those other games are also of much higher quality than BioWare's dating simulator games.

Nobody. Drop romances and make a great game that isn't so focused on "OMG, who can I romance?!"
