DA2 surviving sibling.
If they die there is just a empty squadmate slot. Like Garrus and Tali in ME3. <_<

Agreed, go play those other games Chris. The Devs have stated time and again that the romances are there to stay. They are the main reason why Bioware has such a loyal fanbase.Emzamination wrote...

Nobody. Drop romances and make a great game that isn't so focused on "OMG, who can I romance?!"
Other games do fine without them. Those other games are also of much higher quality than BioWare's dating simulator games.
I think you're in the wrong company forum, Chris Avellone

I'd like a non-traditional romance, like how Garrus was seen as at the start in Mass Effect. No one thought anyone would want to romance him because of how inhuman he looks but now he's the most popular LIA male Kossith romance would make me very happy!
On another note, I'd really like to see a male version of Morrigan (just the similarities in personality) as a romance.

6. Last but not least, an elven male that's not a latin metrosexual or looks like he was ripped out of a JRPG. No offense to anyone, but I demand testosterone. Every gay romance I've played through so far felt like some yaoi fanfic, and I couldn't get anything out of them at all. Give me a same-sex romance that's an actual relationship between two men, not a male character and a carbon copy romance with gender appropiate pronouns. The Isabella+FemHawke romance felt perfect for example because Isabella didn't treat Hawk like a man with lady parts like Leliana did, but as another woman. In fact, if you're going to make bi LIs, make gender matter.

I'm straight, and I've always thought that most same sex romance in the games come off a little bit stereotypical (think Oliver Stone's Alexander). If they're going to include same sex romance in a game, they should ditch the stereotypes, otherwise, isn't it just as politically incorrect as not having them available in the first place?

I wouldn't say stereotypical -unless if you're Zevran- but nothing about the romances seemed genuine to me. I'm gay, and I know how love between two men works out, and the romances all feel like they came from a well-written fan-fic. Men in relationships -in my experiance- aren't that verbal or emotional, though that's probably because the writers have to make sure the relationship works for women too since most gay LIs are available to women as well. All that the writers have to do though is make gender matter. Dailogue should make a difference, and heck, maybe it should take different requirements to romance someone. I think I remember that in Jade Empire, it took more effort for a male PC to romance Sky than a female because he had to get used to his feelings.

1. Cullen, I like how shy he is in Dragon Age Origins. He would make a great LI for the PC.
2. Cassandra, she's wanting to revolve the situation of the templars by finding the champion. I think her character is very interesting.
3. Alistair
4. Anders
5. Morrigan
6. Isabela
