I would personally vote for the PC being an elf in this case. It sort of seems like there's more story potential that way, or at least different and interesting hooks.
No, it must be Dwarf.

So where does that leave the people that don't want the war?

Exarch would be a cool name... if I knew what an Exarch was. Sounds kind of like Primarch.

They're all religious references, aside from The Breach.
When was the last time a Greek religious term was used in a game title? They do sound a bit verbose and obscure...
(I don't want to even imagine people trying to pronounce them)

I just want to say, I really hate the title 'Dragon Age 2: The Breach'. It just sounds weird, and I think people wouldn't know what to think of it. Out of the titles listed, I think 'Inquisition' is the most likely. It has the best sound and instantly gives an idea of what it might be about (maybe the wrong idea though). That's my opinion anyway.
Human/elf, then? As a compromise? Elves are likely going to be more popular than dwarves, and easier to integrate into this setting. Dwarves worked for DAO because it was all about fighting darkspawn, but I don't think it'd do as well here.ElitePinecone wrote...

Meh. I don't know if it'll be worth it unless there are racial customization options, and if there are, we might be forced back into being silent, which I'd hate.
It's maybe a little unrealistic to be annoyed about a set character with a title (that has no species customisation options) while also disliiking the alternative (a blank slate, of any species) because it's a silent one.
Fully-voiced racial customisation options just don't seem possible, at least not with this kind of budget (and would they even be worth it? How many used elves/dwarves in DAO, relative to the expense of giving them a full voice in DA3?) - but it looks like we can expect a more customisable protagonist, at least in the sense that they aren't defined exclusively by their name and family - which Hawke is, for most of the game.
And that, I think, is a positive thing.
While I don't necessarily disagree with this idea, I doubt Bioware will drop the numerical designation. The number, at a glance, tells the consumer that this is a sequel and not a expansion or spinoff.Direwolf0294 wrote...
With the name of the game, I wished they'd just stayed away from numbering them.
Dragon Age: Origins
Dragon Age: Exile
Dragon Age: Inquisition
sounds so much cooler than
Dragon Age: Origins
Dragon Age 2
Dragon Age 3: Inquisition
It's too late for DA2, but hopefully they'll drop the 3 from the next game.

Indeed, edited my post with an "or spinoff."BrotherWarth wrote...
Expansions being released on their own discs are almost nonexistent now, so I don't think that's a real concern.

I liked the title Apocrypha.
I know quite a few people who are significantly less interested in a spinoff as opposed to a full-fledged sequel. Take Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood and Assassin's Creed: Revelations for example, many people were burnt out as playing as Ezio and dealing with relatively similar themes with his story arc (even though I think they were different enough and still fantastic games). Now that Assassin's Creed 3 is coming out those same people are excited to get the game, because it'll have new gameplay, new locations, etc. If it was just called Assassin's Creed: Revolution for example many people who'd assume it was a spin-off and that it wouldn't have those things.BrotherWarth wrote...
Spin-off? Who's concerned about video games being spin-offs? Are we getting the Jeffersons of video games with DA3?
