Keep in mind that kernel-embedded keyloggers like rootkits might not show up. That would be some pretty sophisticated coding for limited payoff, but some people go to a lot of trouble to screw other people over. And not all malware scanning programs are created equal. My computer got infected by a rootkit that installed from a geeky astronomy video my boss sent me (his computer got infected, too), and both Ad-Aware and Bit Defender missed it. I tried to run Malawarebyte, but the rootkit kept deleting the malware scanner before I could run it. In the end, I had to do a system restore all the way back to factory OS installation.

You might consider changing some of the more important passwords from a different computer.

From what I saw in the survey sample posted the last thread you linked to, the protagonist is supposed to be a member of the Inquisition - the group the templars used to be before Emperor Drakon I organized them into the Order of Templars.

I don't see what's to like about being an atuomatic member of the proto-templar group. It seems like the kind of organization that would exclude mages as members when the aim of the original group was to hunt down mages.

Also, what makes you so certain this survey came from Bioware?

We could be a seeker? or something else?

He was in the last David Gaider novel "Asunder".  I thought he was a great character in the story.  It would be interesting to see how they would be able to use him as a companion.[/quote]

I think Berelinde is just trying to be nice.

I don't think the survey was a keylogger ,if it's one well the guy did put tons of effort into it.
Beside there was nothing to download , and the survey didn't come from a wierd mail.
It can happen to get a keylogger just by viewing a net page , but it's kind of rare.

Anyway , thanks for telling us that it may be a keylogger.
I know the info doesn't come from you berelinde , but it's cool to pass it along wether it's true or not.

As of this Cole character and the Asunder book. I read the first chapter and I didn't like the book one bit.

So can anyone please spoil the Asunder book for me, and tell what is important to know, or possibly give me a link, where I can read what is important.

Ran an image search through google. Don't know how exact or reliable the image search is, but I cut out both images there and searched and found no hits on either. So the pictures are, from what I can tell, not posted online anywhere google has cached them.

EDIT: Meaning they are not from some not-very-well-known yet very talented artist on deviantart or the like.

I like dark, and expect some low points along the way - but when the credits roll, I need to feel like I accomplished something worthwhile.  Otherwise, it feels like I just wasted a lot of time.

About two years ago I was still active in a german Tomb Raider forum and there was a leak of pictures and concept description for the next game that everyone quickly discarded as fake.. turns out that's actually what the game is about

Uhh wiki entry is clearly poorly written then Cole is nothing like justice really, though to be fair post book i guess his personality would be completely different anyway.

I recomend reading the book.  Cole's character is someone I disliked very much during the beginning, yet when his background is exposed, what he is becomes explained,  and how he acts at the end....he ended up being one of the most memorable literary characters that I'll ever remember in fantasy fiction.
