I would suggest reading Asunder before getting romantic ideas about him, I'm not sure I would want my character alone in the same room with Cole, much less a romance, even if I feel sorry for him.

I think he's blonde and quite young.
But honestly ,Cole in the book isn't romance material.
He may be a demon/spirit/soul /something else in the body of a young man.
The only thing he remembers are his host chilhood trauma ,he 's kind of a killer too , he's mostly deeply disturbed ...He can be really nice like some puppy .Show him affection and he would die for you and follow you everywhere almost like an obsession.
Oh and in the book he has a huge problem , almost nobody can see him.

So...if he comes up in DA3 , I think he may be totally different .During the book he had no clue who/what he was.Maybe that 's gonna change.

Ran an image search through google. Don't know how exact or reliable the image search is, but I cut out both images there and searched and found no hits on either. So the pictures are, from what I can tell, not posted online anywhere google has cached them.

EDIT: Meaning they are not from some not-very-well-known yet very talented artist on deviantart or the like.

They wouldn'tm that is genuine DA Concept art, those pictures were also lined up with the pics from pax  I wonder has anyone tweeted those pics to laidlaw or gaider, I'd love to see if they deny them

Only his victims saw him. And then it was too late. Ugh. This is a non-spoiler thread, so I know I have to stop commenting on him right now. But as far as what I think about Cole? I understand him better, but I agree with the above statement that I wouldn't want to be in the same room with him.

This is true.  And the upshot is that if one of the companions can be "pro mage", why do people insist that being an Inquisitor will mean the PC can't be pro mage?

People need to really calm the f down and accept and trust the story Bioware is going to present.  I have enjoyed every Bioware story, including DA2, and I seriously doubt they'll be lacking in that department in the next thing.

Well he is carrying a Trident which I believe is a weapon associated with greeks, and if it's associated with greeks, it is most definitely associated with the romans so Tevinter is a logical conclusion.

He's an -amazingly- well-written character. The book is pretty much worth reading for him alone - the good plot rests on top of the foundation that is Cole and gives cream to the already delicious cake.

Yep.  A sword through the eye is definitly an Inqusition symbol.  The cat is out of the bag Bioware. Come clean.
