Chris Avellone has stated *many* times that he doesn't like romances in rpgs, and would do without them if he could.

...And Leliana wears a pendant called "The Seeker's Circle". That doesn't make her a Seeker. Just because armour is portrayed slightly differently in a film than it is in-game doesn't change what it is. As stated here, the Seekers don't have a uniform or any kind of official armour.

Years of bioware have spoiled me regarding the Role play genre, I can't really bring myself to play an rpg unless it has some type of romance in it now

I would personally prefer it if they made no/less romances and instead made the plot and story stronger in their games. But that is just my opinion .
Chris might not like writing romances but what he does write extremely well are stories. If you have played the games he worked on you know what i mean.
