Both of those characters could be dead (or doing different things, or missing), so I don't think so. Plus even in Bioware's offshoot quasi-canon storyline Alistair is busy as King of Fereden, not running around in heavy armour

He announced that he'd be heading to Orlais at the end of DA2. 

ooooo, yeah. That would be good, because we know absolutely NOTHING about him. He was kind of an a** in DA2, maybe they will pull a Merrill?

Maybe we'll have a pawn-like character (Dragon's Dogma reference) that can be taken over for co-op purposes. Maybe a family member or something that's gender morphic. That could be the fifth party member. Maybe we could even choose their class, essentially giving us a second PC (gameplay only-personality and stuff should probably still be fixed).

I feel like 'second PC' doesn't describe what I was thinking. Image DA2 with only Bethany or Carver (let's say Bethany). Imagine being able to choose Bethany's class. Granted, you lose some characterization without her being a mage, but Bethany is a special case because of how the story was set up. 

In DA3, I'm imagining a scenario where we have some sort of friend, sibling, or teammate (if we're in an organization) whose class and abilities are totally decided by us (and weapon style). They aren't a PC in that they aren't speaking to NPC's or anything, but they are in gameplay because we can customize them completely.

I don't really think they're going to do this, but it's an interesting idea.

Even though I love DD, I don't think it would be that useful or even natural to have one in the DA universe. DD is a open world/sandbox game, so it's fun to have a pawn who randomly goes to places and gets you gifts while you're asleep, but in DA it would look like you have a slave or something

^I really hope thats one of the options for PC... for starters I am not interested on playing as an Inquisitor in DA.

I dought am the only one who think forcing people to play as a servant of the chantry is the right choice.. I don't give a flut about Leliana or what_her_face.. Just if anyone is interested, the warden might care of leliana, hawke might care about.. what_her_face and We are not playing any of this characters, so.. don't force us to play as an Inquisitor, please.

I recommend making 3-4 options for Players Characters not just 1 religious freak, An Elf, Dwarf, Human_Spoil_rich_guy/girl.. Helping this "Inquisitor" guy to gain/find/discover the light or whatever. I thank you for you're time.

I don't think that the Inquisitor has to be pro-Chantry. I doubt BioWare would shoe-horn you into a character who has to be pro-Chantry, can't be anything else. I'd wait and see how BioWare plays this out before jumping to that conclusion.

Really?
Being inquistor doesn't mean that you have to be a "religious freak", in fact, the inquistors used to be a separate group from the Chantry.
The only reason they've cooperated with them was the need to form a stronger army to control the mages.

And considering that right now the Chantry and Templars want to kill each other while the mages are on rebellion and the vail is fragile...
It's logical to see the order resurging again to fix this mess.

I'm sorry, but where is all this rubbish that you are a servant of the Chantry comming from? All we know from these supposed leaks is that the inquisitors are fighting demons and trying to sort out the world. Nowhere does it mention being part of the chantry at all- that is entirely an assumption on your part.

I'm not too convinced by that article personally. It sounds like they just read this thread and posted the last real update we were given by the OP. And it sounds like they got it wrong as well, since the last I heard those were features that the survey was asking for opinions about, not "confirmed features".

you can be a mage in DA2, or have a mage sister, but bioware still lets you be pro-mage or pro-templar regarless of those facts.

One thing I like about the Inquisitor PC is it takes away a concern I had regarding having for example Cassandra as a companion. She seems too badass and dominant for an averagely nooby PC who starts with nothing and has to work her/his way up the Thedas ladder. "Inquisitor" sounds like someone who could balance that out, and who would not feel too out of place when thrown right into the middle of the giant magical war zone. If it's all true, obviously.

I don't see how taking down the articles solves anything when there are still threads like this on the forums discussing it. But then I don't see why they would create a survey like that if they wanted to keep things quiet. Are the people who vote on it required to agree to non-disclosure agreements? If not then I don't see why they would think it wouldn't spread like a fire.

They don't want to draw attention to the leaks, it's why they had a community mod with no real affiliation to bioware close that thread.A real bioware staff member closing it would've been just as good as confirming it and they know it.The reason this thread wasn't closed was because I hit the nail on the head with that mod and they didn't want suspicions to rise again.They play with us like puppets on strings

Not really...

1- the site does not seem particularly trustworthy.
2- even if EA did pester them, it's plausible that they keep a closer watch on "news" sites leaking anything than they do forum rumors.
3- even if the same policy does guide them on the forums, you can't know that's the reason your thread was locked. Whereas if it was, the implication would both make RaenImrahl a liar and beg the question of why all these other threads discussing the leaks have not also been locked.
