If Cullen isn't a romance option, the fans will tear down Bioware's headquarters. I never had an interest in him personally.
if Cassandra isn't a romance option I might tear down Bioware's headquarters. (Although I haven't watched the movie and don't plan to)

And am I the only one who thinks they might bring back Varric? A lot of fans were disappointed because he wasn't a romance option in DA 2, so I'm kind of hoping we'll be able to get out dwarf-loving on this time.

Damn right we would lol!

You're not missing much in DotS, Cassandra's design in it is cute though it's a shame they couldn't give her really long hair like they did in the movie.

Dorian's name is a Wilde reference, it might be a hint as to the sort of personality we're getting.

...why am I getting visions of another DA 2 where every single male LI is a brooding extremist?

(Now mind you, I haven't read the DA books or The Picture of Dorian Gray, so I'm just wildly speculating here.)

This kinda reminds me of how for ages people were speculating that Fenris was going to be a werewolf or something based on his name.

I think it's fairly safe to assume that Dorian will have nothing in common with the existing character.

How can you be sure it's a Wilde reference?

I don't understand why people are so hell bent on pro-chantry pro-templar pro-mage pro-chuck norris thing, as the Warden in DAO you could HATE the Grey Wardens, yet you were still trying to stop the Blight and kill the Archdemon.

Just because we're playing as an Inquisitor, it doesn't mean we must be pro-chantry, nor that we will be given the option to be one or the other, I STRONGLY believe we'll simply be trying to end the ongoing conflicts by any means neccecary.

Pro-Chuck Norris should be a thing!

But I agree, I think people are needlessly panicking. Sure, we might have to align ourselves with the Chantry temporarily as a means to get what we want, but once that's done I'm sure we'll be able to say "thanks for the help, now watch as I screw you over by revealing all your dirty secrets b!tches!", hell in ME2 we had to work with the bad guy and by the end of it we could tell TiM to go shove it, blow up the Collector base he wanted to keep and still keep the Normandy. I'd say that was a win-win situation, just as it will be in DA3 (if this leak is true.)

From the description , Dorian fight things like magister corruption.
So i think we're gonna have a sane mage.

So what do we have, like 5 warriors? Iron Bull, Cass, Cullen, Spear guy, and the Grey Warden.

Cass - Two handed (Judging from her concept art)

Grey Warden - Sword and shield

Spear guy - Well, a Spear. (New weapon type. :D)

Cullen - I'd assume Sword and Shield

Iron Bull - Sounds like a Two Hander, or maybe Spear.

I thought the Arishok was hot...so I'm not against a qunari/kossith romance ...But yeah i'm not sure i could take someone called Iron Bull seriously.

Same with the warden and the chevalier , I really like the idea of an older LI , but then i remember things like the moustache on Strout or beard available for Hawke....they looked so fake .
I mean beard is great , fake looking beard not so much.

Same here. The Kossith in DA 2 were extremly hot. I remember playing DA 2 for the first time and just running around the docks the whole time, searching for a good angle to capture the full hotness of the Kossith.
I might also have mumbled "So handsome...and rugged...and chiseled..." from time to time.
Although the name Iron Bull makes me think of one of those muscely, sweaty wrestlers. *shudder*

I think it'd be fun to play it as you were somehow forced into working for the chantry to save a beloved brother or sister or to save yourself from the gallows as a criminal and it was either work for the chantry or become jailed or dead or something. I think there are a lot of ways you could play it in your head without being forced have a fit about being a part of the chantry. I mean we don't really know, do we. People have lots of issues with anything resembling religon, like somehow being forced to work for the chantry means they are being forced to believe in God...when in fact...no.

Sounds likely, although it'd be really cool if we had the possibility of dating the Warden. Every LI in DA so far has been close to the PCs age....I just want some age difference in my romance, dammit.

One of the writers said/tweeted she used her grandfather as insiration for a character in the game. Some people are gueesing he could be the grey warden gentalman in the concept art, but who knows. If he is, than i'm guessing she wouldn't opt to make the character like her grandfather romancable..... hopefully.

Not to mention that we still don't even know if the Inquisitors are still affiliated with the chantry or if they're an independant order by now. Completly useless to panic about it.

Hell, maybe the PC is a scoundrel who lives on the streets and is only near the meeting because he/she though there might be a lot of coin to steal. Then the explosion happens, the PC is forced to save an important person and he/she only gets roped into this thing because he/she had been forced to disguise him/herself in an inquisitor armor to infiltrate the meeting and steal everything that's not bolted down.

...my my, the more I think about this all, the more possibilities arise. There are a hundred ways to be an inquisitor without being religious or a fan of the chantry.

I presumed it was Cullen because the writer that you're talking about who based the character on her grandfather were sitting in on a VO session with the woman who edited the writers script who also tweeted about it (and was very excited because it was the character she was looking forward to the most) around the same time as Greg Ellis let slip on twitter that he was recording Cullen's dialogue.

But, it could quite easily be some other character, I'd presume they have more than one voice actor recording at the same time.

See what I mean? There is more than one way to skin a dead cat. Isn't one of the best parts of playing an rpg creating part of our own backstory?

If that's true, then we might get an LI who is, in some way, obsessed with immortality? And if my informations are correct, Cole is a ghostly serial killer with an identity crisis.

They could do a sort of origin system where you choose your backstory, and it shows how you joined the Inquisitors.

Now, that's not true. What about....uhm...oh, but...no wait....er, there's....ah damn, nevermind. I guess all those heterosexual ladies are simply stuck with romancing brooding extremists. Posted Image
