I'd love to see the outrage if Cassandra becomes a DLC character

DLC character will probably be Iron Bull.

Supposedly there are 10 characters.  That means there will be four of one class, three of one and three of the other.  It will be warriors that get four characters due to Cassandra, Cullen, Grey Warden (Stroud) and Iron Bull.  I imagine Seekers, Grey Wardens and Templars are critical factions and thus part of the core game.  As such the day 1 DLC will involve Iron Bull's mercenary group and how he comes to join the Inquisitor.  That would make him DA3's Zaeed.

I'm not a big fan of Cassanda myself , I think she's the type to get on my nerves.
Agressive and hot headed....We'll see if she's a companion ...I may end up really liking her.
Even Morrigan grew on me .

I didn't watch the animated movie, but I can actually understand why you'd dislike her. I wasn't actually interested in her when she appeared in DA2. But now there's the possibility that she might be a romancable LI and I started thinking about how a romance with her would play out and it seemed extremly funny to me. I just keep getting visions of her screaming "BULL****" at the PC and that makes her awesome in my eyes.

Her appeal to me personally is the nasty attitude she portrays similar to isabela and morrigan before that.It'll be quite enjoyable to see her stone personality turn to fragile Ice like isabela and morrigan before that

Watch the animated movie and all you'll be able to think of her doing is grunting and screaming like an idiot.

I tried, but I got annoyed at male mage whats-his-name.
And don't you know, I have an appreciation for grunting and screaming.

...But knowing myself I'll probably get the game and start hating her. Serves me right for looking forward to that.

Because cats aren't as cool and strong as a mabari? Though giant cats would be like having a lion or cougar. Cats remind me of Anders, and whatever reminds me of Anders, is a no no to me

I'm neutral-leaning-positive on Cassandra.

The appeal is that she's a tough female.  So there's a contrast against female stereotypes.  Of course, there are many "comic book women" like Cassandra.  But it's still cool to see a female fighter of whatever sort.  Also, she's a Seeker that isn't a zealot.  So that's another thing in her favor.  Also her generally stern manner is entertaining.  And she looked pretty badass kneeling in the Chantry wearing her black cloak at the end off the Dawn of the Seeker movie.  There's no real depth to her character yet.  All I get out of the movie is that she's vengeance-minded, short-tempered but capable of controlling it and that her vengeance and stereotyping was cooled by her experiences with the mage in Dawn of the Seeker.  That's not a lot.  But it also means there's plenty to do with her in DA3 to potentially make her a cool character.  How does she process what's happened to the Seekers and the Chantry for example?

Still it would be good to have something different. Plus just make the cat a lion or tiger. There you go, we have our strong and cool animal 100% loyal buddy.

I'm guessing the four characters who got proper descriptions are the DLC candidates. If Cole doesn't win out in that one, I'll be very sad. Playing DAI knowing I could've had Cole in the party... oh wow =( Perhaps that's why they're not so transparent early on, cause they know we will get attached to these early ideas, then things change and we get butthurt.

I liked the short hair. It emphasized her hardass attitude. Although I PRAY they either get a different voice actress or better yet, make sure her accent won't cause excessive ear-bleeding.

In both games the long hairs aren't well done, in my opinon. The female hair type I prefer is one of the type similar to Leliana's, with three tresses (don't know if it's the right word).

And then the PC has to tell Cassandra at some point that s/he's not really a hero (http://www.dramabutton.com/) and that s/he really didn't intend this to happen and Cass can yell "BULL****". Because if she doesn't, I'm going to be really disappointed.

I don't think either were particularly bad. If you listen to her softer tone in this, her voice is actually quite pleasant.
