I already said I don't really care much about how they look, and I made it clear that the only thing that bothered me was people wanting Bioware to copy designs from other fantasy IPs for Dragon Age.

Understood Posted Image.

People tend to take pics from games and other media that they like to give a reference point to explain what they would like to see..

In the end most elves look kind of Tolkien-ish..there are exceptions of course..but they are few. And everybody is entitled to an opinion as long as we respect each others views Posted Image.

A chip on my shoulder? Do you even know what that means?
Is it really so hard to understand why I got a little perturbed?

Don't talk to me like that. I'm not five, and I'm not some silly girl who will tolerate nonsensical arguments from someone who can't even answer a single question without looking for something to **** about.

And rest assured, if I used the phrase, I understand what it means.

This is a discussion board, y'all - not an argument board.

If someone asks your opinion and you don't want to discuss, you're in the wrong place. If said person just wants to argue about arguing, take it on the chin and move on. :)

And yet it made no sense when you used it. Hmm.

Much as I'm loath to get involved, she did use the phrase correctly.

.... anyway....

So to get things back on topic, I'm re-reading Asunder and realizing just how important Leliana is to the events that surround everything involving the Chantry. What do you guys think about seeing her in the next game as either a quest-giver or a temporary companion?

(Hint: "Leliana is supposed to be dead in my playthrough" doesn't really count as an answer)  Posted Image

Brotherwrath: Funny, because you certainly seem to have a real issue with your attitude towards people on here. There was no reason to be so defensive, you were simply asked a question. Whether or not people didn't understand what you were trying to say, is no excuse to be rude.

I can't see why she wouldn't be in the game some how.

You've got nothing to gain by needlessly arguing with me. I hope you have the most amazing day ever and I look forward to having a conversation with you that actually goes somewhere in the future.  Posted Image

While I want her as a companion, I can see her being an important NPC in the vein of Dumar or Elthina. Perhaps your liaison to the Divine.

I'm kinda thinking that too. I mean she's always with Justinia (she could get sent out on missions, like finding the Warden and visiting Kirkwall, but I bet that'll grow to be mostly just Cassandra's role) so I bet we'll get a glimpse of her if we're siding with the Divine or maybe even get to fight her if we choose to side against Justinia.

But hurting Leliana would just be  Posted Image!

Maybe even if we don't get to see her we'll pick up a letter she's written or something. That'd be neat.

@ brushyourteeth, I guess it depends if we are truly going to get 10 companions all at once like is being speculated. I don't know if I'd like her back as a companion if I don't get the other companions back as well. I wouldn't mind her being a quest giver. I'd also like to see them give more than one quest, similar to the bartender in the Gnawed Noble Tavern. Alot of little quest which play out into a big one. One thing I would like to see for old companions is running into them inside a bar or tavern and actually having a chat with them, you actually sit down and have a beer. Someone in your party recognizes them. If Stroud were to be in the new game then I'd imagine he would know about Leliana because of the Warden Commander of Ferelden. I don't see how she can't be in DA3 because of her connection with the Divine and the events of Asunder.

I would think that if Cassandra is playing a large or relatively large role(as a companion) then Leliana pretty much has to play a role. It wouldn't really make sense for her not to unless Cassandra strikes out on her own.

On a side not, the first time I played Origins I ended up killing Leliana when she went against me. I was so shocked when I cut her head off. I thought I would just be telling to fall in line but I took her damn head off.
That's when I realized how cool/hard it was making decisions in games.

I agree the letters thing in DAA was cool actually. I'd like to see more of that or more codex entries about the warden and what may have happened to him/her. Like reading Leliana or Cassandra's journal on their search for the Warden and Hawke. I think the developers have already said that the warden won't make an appearance, which I find disappointing once again.

You know, that brings up something else - if we had someone like Leliana in our party (which probably won't happen, but hey - that's what "if"s are for, right?) it'd be sad not to be able to romance her, but we couldn't because of her possible love connection with the Warden and the headache all that importing/potential bugginess could cause. But if you had the opportunity to talk to her about the Warden and hear more about her feelings on him/her and their fate, would you guys like that, or would you rather not know? And what kind of information would you want her to share if you could get it?

That's a good point. They'd have to really come up with a good explanation for giving us one but not the other.

Of course they both have completely different sets of skills, which is what makes them both so useful. If we had to choose between partnering with one and not the other (like with Meeran and Athenril) I'd totally roll with Leliana. Intruige FTW!
