As long as they provide a good reason for us being an inquisitor and a good reason for us to be in charge of saving the world I'm fine with being an inquisitor.
I have no doubt they will do that part well

Y'know, because saving all civilization and intelligent life is so last year...

To be honest, I don;t want to save the world anymore. I get enough of that from Mass Effect.
Id rather it be a grounded story like Hawke's again, although its clear it will be far from a personal tale in Dragon Age III so far.

Is there any way to see the concept art that was posted and then removed? Or has it all been nuked forever? I am VERY curious to see it in the style of the DA2 character art.

However, Shianni . . .

It'd only be an Inquisition in the loosest sense of the word ('finding out things'), and not with the real-world overtones of violence, nor the historical association that Thedas has with the proto-Seekers/Templars hunting heretics or mages.

I think it's just the side-cloak thing giving the impression that he's larger than he really is. Look at his arms and he actually seems fairly thin.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, as well. I wasn't fond of the name at first, but it's definitely grown on me.
Assuming what we're seeing so far is accurate, of course. And I hope it is. It sounds pretty cool, in my opinion.

I love the idea that it's a sort of desperate organisation set up to confront all these crises but with no institutions or real rules of conduct - the Wardens were bound by all sorts of customs and traditions (they even signed treaties), whereas an Inquisition occupies a murky space that has an aim in sight (preserve Thedas) but no established methods. If done well it has some intriguing implications for how to handle major story points.

I think so as well. The cloak makes him seem bigger than he is.
But that reminds me of something: Why have we never had a companion that is not built like a model? I mean, I like a good figure as much as any other girl, but I'd really like to see a girl/guy who is on the pudgy side. Especially if s/he's an LI because that would make for great 'Baby, I love your body, don't let others get you down' fluff.
But alas, it'll never happen because most players would get butt-hurt over not getting their ego stroked by scoring an absurdly hot girl/guy.
For shame.

To be fair, if you're a strong skilled warrior or an agile rogue, your body is probably going to reflect that level of physical skill. Mages, well, I always thought those Mage robes in the circle tower in DA:O made my Mage look a bit pudgy.

The real limitation is just how many body models Bioware is willing to make. For Mage only robes it made sense even if it seemed funny that my Mage got washboard abs the second he went for the arcane warrior spec (Magical workout routine, I guessSgtElias wrote...

I really liked that, personally. I always thought that Jowan looked a little on the heavy side, and I loved that about him. I'm probably in the minority, but I'd absolutely romance a character like that. I'm pretty indifferent to how "fit" a given character is. If I like them as people, or think they have an interesting story, that's really all I need.
I know, I know; weird.

On the whole, I'm willing to go with everyone have the same swimsuit model bodies as long as the rest of the game was great. But hey, SW:TOR allowed you to make overweight characters, so there is hope.

You never know! Especially now that they want to keep the companions looking iconic, it will probably mean they'll each have their own unique body shape.

Personally, I'd like to see character models in the other direction. So maybe my character was scrawny starving thief before he got his world saving credentials (Yeah, I know all the elves in DA2 look like that but you know what I mean!)SgtElias wrote...
Oh, I know; I'd (personally) prefer that the resources be spent on extra content for characters or something else similar, as well. Non body-builder characters are still something I'd like to see, though. And it's never been a deal breaker for me.
And I love that about SW:TOR! I think every character I rolled at first was one of the "dat ass" female characters. I loved finally having hips!
