This has been going on since Friday, as far as I'm aware. Almost a week now, now that I think about it.

I haven't been able to complete a single game since Friday, but I figure Bioware already knows about it. If not... well, I can't see how they don't!


For me, it ranges from losing connection to the game, to kicking me out of the game (saying I was kicked out of the game, like I was booted. O-o ), to disconnecting me from the severs... and the worst thing was freezing my Xbox straight out, which has never happened before while playing Multiplayer.


Which sucks... I just got the N7 Slayer, and I wanted to try him out!

I was wondering about heat issues. I'm having lots of problems too but just in case I think I'll blow any dust out of my routers tonight and maybe place an additional fan on them. Last night i got disconnected in last half of two silvers and one bronze. Played 5 successful bronze matches then lost the spectre pack to a store disconnect. Pretty annoying whatever is going on. I don't expect it to be on our end with so many reporting the problem, but it has been pretty warm here lately.

Guys, if you're unable to play because of this issue, I urge you all to contact Origin support.

PC users, open Origin client, click 'Help' menu -> 'Origin Help' then the 'LIVE CHAT' button.

The more people report it the more likely they'll tell us what if anything they're doing about it.

I've mainly been having disconnect, and friends list problems since the Earth. Most nights I log in, and I show up, and then, for some reason it will cycle from In-game to Invisible for a while, and then stay invisible. Much less before then. Also, disconnect in matches MUCH more often than I used to.

I have a direct wired cable modem, and playing on PC.

Same issue here, as well as with friends playing with. I've reset/rebooted the router, logged out/in of Origin, and have attempted several computer restarts. Previously, I hadn't experienced any lost-connection errors until this latest version 9 update.

I've been able to briefly delay the issue by selecting a hosting option set to private. From there I visit the store, modify characters, etc. This approach only prolongs the inevitable a short amount of time, and has been my hellish experience for the last 2 days now.

I get hit with the disconnect on the hour, every hour on the weekends. During the week however, I get it once or twice every few days.

It doesn't bother me that much since it only kicks in when I hit the "search" button when looking for random pugs. What bothers me is the high amount of people with horrible connections being allowed to host matches. I hate having to cycle through several groups before I find someone with a stable connection. I would host myself, if it didn't take an hour to fill the other three slots when I try to set a match up.

Whoever designed the matchmaking system for this game needs to be shot.

I usually get:
One good game without any lag problems.
One game with a few lag problems
Then a disconnect or if I am lucky a third game with massive lag problems.

Lag has nothing to do with ea servers, because you connect to other player's computers not their server. What you describe sounds like a router problem. When you start playing it's routing table is almost empty so you get no lag, when it fills up a bit your router spends more time going through that table which you experience as lag. Finally when that table becomes full your router gets confused and deletes the whole thing which results in disconnect. If you try to play after you get disconnected you will probably get a good game again.

Also have this problem. What's really annoys me is that when it want's to disconnect me it's always at extraction wave. Because of that I've wasted a lot of time and lost lots of credits and consumables. I'm on PC.

Happened to me twice tonight. Both on Wave 11. It's very rage inducing.

I was even lucky enough to run into someone from the forums here and have a good match, but noooooo. Servers told me to go **** myself.

Just adding my voice to this. I have a flawless internet connection and have never experienced any lagging or freezing. I will now randomly receive the disconnect message with no warning (playing with no lag or any other issues one second, then the message shows up the next). It also occurs almost 100% of the time that I click "Purchase" in the store, after sitting on "Please Wait..." for around 30 seconds each time. I have successfully finished three matches without receiving the message out of an attempted fifteen. Sometimes it will come in the first 10 seconds, other times it will wait until Wave 10. Additionally, when it kicks me back to the main menu, it immediately connects to EA servers with no issue. Sometimes, if I do not close and re-open the game and Origin and instead immediately go back into the multiplayer screen, it doesn't acknowledge that I have ever played multiplayer, providing no items and no experience for any characters. Luckily, restarting the game and Origin solves that particular problem. I have now spoken with six different EA advisors about this issue. Each one suggested all the things the last one had, then tried one more thing. Each time it'd wait just long enough for them to conclude that it must be fixed, then fail after the chat was over. Spoke to yet another today who said that they were forwarding my request to "Tier 2" of their customer service reps who will email me "soon." We'll see if that goes anywhere. All of my save files and in-game accomplishments were also deleted by Origin, but that's another issue that I posted extensively about elsewhere. I hate EA so much.

It is an intermittent problem for me (play on PC) and it varies as to when it will occur within a match, it has happened to me in round 1 or any round right upto the last even when only a few seconds from extraction which was more than a little annoying... Hopefully this is something that can be addressed soon as I've given up on singleplayer with this game and only ever play the multi now as its good to play with other people.

The odd thing is I can play multiplayer on my xbox just fine, but the pc version will dc me every game ever. It's more than a little irritating.

I have no idea if this has anything to do with this, but there will be a four hour maintenance cycle tomorrow for all EA multiplayer games, including Mass Effect 3's multiplayer.

It's interesting to hear that it works fine on Xbox but not PC. I play PC exclusively and have been having constant troubles. Sounds like the Xbox servers are just fine and the PC servers are having issues. I have tested everything to make sure it can't be something on my end (firewalls, antivirus, OS, connection speed, this computer) and everything I try points to it being on their end. It's just so strange that it's happening to such select people rather than everyone. Makes me think that it's almost a location-based issue. I wonder if connecting to your ISP through a proxy server in another part of the country would solve the problem for some of us.
