the save game folders are still there with the character names..
there's just no files inside the folders..

I got this problem now as well. But all my characters are gone. It was my only backup and its deleted them all. Even my Dragon Age 2 ones are gone. In fact all my EA games saves are gone.
Edit: I at least I have a happy ending. After searching and searching I found some old saves of my EA games.
