We have lots of Kebab too. So I don't post any of them. Just one food for tonight.

Here in the UK?

Fish and Chips.

Posted Image

Created by a Jew though. The origin is Jewish too (yeah it surprised me too considering I always thought Fish N' Chips was completely British). Now it has become one of the UK's most popular dishes.

I much prefer Chicken and Chips with salad though.

Posted Image

I don't know where Chicken and Chips originated from (or even if they were inspired by fish and chips) but I consider it better.

Roast Lamb:

Posted Image
British origin. Probably the best dish too IMO. Nothing tastes better than lamb. Nothing.

In Cyprus?

Stuffed vine leaves.

Posted Image

Ambrosia is the only word I can use to describe it if done right.

It's called "Duivekater". It is sweet bread, eaten in slices with real butter. Traditionally it was only available in Amsterdam North, the Netherlands. Although still rare, these days it is more widely available throughout the country - usually during the X-mas season.

I didn't think I could eat anymore tonight after devouring a huge KFC, but that looks tasty and has made me hungry again.

I present delicious malasadas - from my home state of Hawaii. Technically, they're from Portugal, but they're quite popular here. According to the wiki, these examples are custard, chocolate, haupia & guava ones (the fillings that is).

Amsterdam, where I live, is a multicultural city with food from all over the world. I love Surinam bami with moksi meti (fried noodles with mixed meat (pork, chicken and sausages)).

If they ask you if you want pepper with it then make sure to get it seperately. Surinam pepper is actually a kind of incredibly hot yellow/brown sambal. ;)

I'm struggling to find any real American foods.

Maybe burrito, BBQ, grits, or something simple like steamed lobsters.

It seems like we Americans are much more successful at popularizing foreign cuisines than having original dishes.
