Best dumplings in the whole wide world. No meme I was really born in Swabia. Though I don't live there for most part of my life.

And of course

You put food from 7-11 on that?
Are you INSANE!?!
The rest of that is fine though.

As Americans we take everything, put a bunch of preservatives and other chemicals in them to make them xtreme sized! Then we eat 'em until we're sick! Just look at this beauty!

Escargots.

It's not as disgusting as it seems.Snails are not my favorite things, and the texture is a bit wierd, but it's cooked with butter and some herbs and it's actually quite tasty.

Image IPB

Choucroute.

It's cabbage cooked with white wine.It comes with sausages , pork , boiled potatoes.
It can be seen as a german dish as well , since it's from Alsace/Lorraine which have been disputed between france and germany for a long time.

Quiche Lorraine.

It's the most popular dish where I'm from.I 'm not too fond of it.It's basicaly a pie with egg/bacon/cream (sometimes onion or cheese).

Image IPB

Tartiflette.

This one i really like. Not really good for the diet though. It's potatoes /onion/a special cheese called Roblechon/cream/bacon.It's from Savoie some part of France a bit mountainy.

Image IPB

Mirabelle.

It's a sort of plum. It's quite good .We make pie out of it , alcohol etc...I'm not too fond of it cooked though.

France has tons of others dishes like any other country.
i never understood why french food is supposed to be super popular and hype...
Most of our dishes are actually quite simple .

A frankfurter sausage (hot dog), dipped in corn (maize) meal batter and then deep fat fried. It's typically eaten on a stick.

I'm regarded as somewhat of a crazy person around here as I think rappie pie tastes like someone already ate it.

Just a curious question that isn't meant to be racist or ignorant. Can anyone show some food that is from anywhere like China, Japan, Korea etc.

Always love to see more Nova Scotians around. I do rember the Rappie Pie craze in the Tri-county area. When I was in college in Yarmouth, that is what a lot of people ate. I found it an interesting Acadian dish, but not my type of thing.
