Same here, wish they'd just let it go and stop trying to compete with Steam. EA is out of their league here...

I had the same problem. I tried purchasing it directly (via Paypal), didn't work. So I FIRST bought the 800 BW points in the regular Origin Store and THEN got the Leviathan DLC by directly buying it with my BW points -- no problem!
Maybe that helps...?
PS: Origin told me I couldn't use Paypal for purchasing the BW points atm (no explanation given). So i bought them with my credit card. Maybe it's just Paypal...

Have 1000 bw points so thats not an issue simply can't bring up the add-ons ingame or through the store.

Well the funny part is that these would be PC specific features, which would make the game better on PC than on the other platforms, whereas you stated they just barely made it work on a PC. However they did not, they made a good port with no real extra features, just a good game that is working properly. And obviously you need to read up on API's because a DX9 game can look just as good as a DX11 game, but the framerate will be so much smoother if DX11 is done right, but for it to really be utilized it would need to be another engine and not UE3.Dead_Meat357 wrote...

Sadly it's the most popular platform for this game. Hence why they never bothered to do more than the bare minimum to make the game work on the PC.
I don't get what you're saying. The game works just fine on the PC. I've had no issues whatsoever.
There are a lot of things missing from a decent PC port.:These are just the things that immediately stand out to me. Now I've seen much, much worse. I've seen games that don't behave with multiple GPUs, multiple monitors, have stability issues, bad mouse acceleration problems and other issues. So it could be a lot worse.
- No in-game options for Anti-aliasing. Game only uses FXAA which has to be accessed through an external configuration utility, which also has no further options.
- No FOV slider or control. The default game FOV has Shepard taking up way too much screen.
- Very, and I mean very poor quality textures. In game textures are extremely low resolution and this is plainly evident on the PC version.
- No DX10 or DX11 support. This could have really added to the look of the game.
- No modding support. Game's PCC files are encrypted to prevent modification even though most of these things wouldn't or couldn't effect actual game play. Thus no advantages in multiplayer. This prevents us from fixing the textures without Texmod or uMod which both suck.
- No dedicated server support. While you console guys don't generally understand this, it's very nice to have on the PC side. P2P matchmaking protocols are horribly ineffecient. Game types are limited by this as well.
- Limited resolution support for multiple monitors. (This may be a driver issue as well, and not entirely BioWare's fault.)

This DOES help. If you CANNOT download Leviathan due to not having enough BW points and are trying to purchase them through Origin, you will get the "temporarily unavailable" message.
But the points OUTSIDE origin, on the normal bioware website, then get Leviathan through Origin. Thanks Nordlycht for this tip.
