Given the franchise's giant dip in quality, this is an easy pass for me. Maybe i'll get it sometime in the future but that's not too likely. Even if it does get pretty decent reviews, i can't see myself shelling out an extra $10 into the game, knowing how awful it ends. I don't want to hear the DLC excuse for ME1 and ME2. Those games were excellent from start to finish and it was during a time where we believed that playing the DLC could make a considerably difference in ME3.

Also it releases the 28th? Um...yea, i think my wallet will be opening up for Guild Wars 2 that day.

Blast! Way to pick the first week of school, there goes my productivity. I'll be diverting too much attention to speculation and youtube videos.

from the blog :
"We are very pleased to officially announce that the Mass Effect 3 Leviathan single-player DLC will be released on August 28th, 2012 for PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. Please note that on Playstation 3 in Europe, it will be available on August 29th."

nice. :). can´t wait.

UPDATE :
I know this is not truly Mass Effect related but
I will just throw this in here because many of us loves his work on the Mass Effect series and have not heared of this...
and i don´t want to make a new Thread unrelated to Mass Effect in the spoiler section. (mods, I hope this is okay)

Patrick Weekes got a new Book out that has nothing to do with Mass Effect :

The Palace Job

out in September 26th

“From one of the writers that brought you the critically acclaimed Mass Effect [video game] trilogy comes a new Fantasy twist on the Heist genre.”

Excellent! Now I'm off to celebrate like this dancing Turian.

I really hope the Leviathan works out. I do not feel a particularly strong negative emotion towards BioWare/EA, but that's part of the problem. I don't feel any strong positive emotion either. After ME2 I was pumped, eager for the ME3.

For the most part, ME3 delivered. I hope I'm honest enough to admit that at least. I simply disliked their ending with greater energy than usual. If the Leviathan fixes the ending problems...or even the missing ME2 squad issues, then I'd put a better probability for my getting it.

I keep going back and forth about whether or not I should buy it. If it won't add to the Endings in a particularly effective way then what's the point? I created a new Shepard and I already have a high EMS and Galaxy Readiness before the Perseus Veil mission so having any new War Assets is useless to me. So we get new dialogues with the Starbrat and learn more about the Reapers so we can sympathize with them

Yay.

If I can't win conventionally or not destroy EDI/Geth then I don't know if it's worth spending $10. Maybe I'll buy it, maybe not.

It is prudent to plan ahead for the numerous aneurysms the plot may likely cause, either by being yet more nonsense, or by actually being good but having to artificially conform to the existing nonsense.

I have a similar mindset - I enjoyed most of ME3, but detested the ending. I won't be buying any DLC unless it significantly changes the endings, but I still hope they sell well. I don't want Bioware to die in a fire or anything simply because I'm irked about the ending to one game they've made. I'll still follow the DLC closely

Well, I haven't really been this excited for DLC excited for a DLC since Lonesome Road. It's seems inspired by my favourite game ever, (bioshock 2) the underwater section looks like it might be a showstopper
