You can bet a load of fans will buy this DLC and be darned happy. If it goes according to plan. So, they can probably afford it.
Fans happy.
Bioware doesn't get yelled at anymore.

I think they can achieve that with such DLC even without conventional victory. Besides, conventional victory can disappoint some fans.

BioWare don't wanna change anything, some fans too. Most of pro-enders and anti-enders like idea of this DLC, and find it a nice way to provide final closure to the Trilogy. So, if BioWare will make such DLC and release it as the last one for ME3, then most people will be happy. Even haters will finally calm down I suppose :)

I don't know why people can dislike this idea, because the big fight is over after the ending and this DLC is after the ending, not part of the ending.

I think all dislikers in the poll about DLC are just irreconcilable haters who still prefer to dislike everything BioWare can possibly make. Good thing there are not too many of them here :)

What do you think about Anderson at the end? Was he real?

I think it would be too hard to set up mechanically.

It wouldn't be that hard actually. But it will be expensive (a lot of voice actors needed). And as I said, it will not be a problem, because they can make this DLC paid.

Think of the variables in the Characters to choose from, then the game also has to automatically pick your character for you. Different characters have different sizes and clippings so the cutscenes would need to react differently.

I like the idea don't get me wrong.

But I don't see how it would work.

You fudge things. You make the different characters basically the same size when they become "player characters". It's really not that difficult. If you've got OCD about it you probably won't like it though, but compromises have to be made.

There will be a lot of possible protagonists indeed, but all of them have almost the same size. And even with existing size differences it's not that hard to avoid problems with cutscenes.

And the automated choosing of the protagonist depending on who is Shepard's LI (or best friend if there is no LI) is really easy to implement. Game already tracks all of this.

No interest. I already pretend all the other options don't exist.

It provides a reunion, of sorts, for Destroy.

I approve

Just imagine. LI came to the Citadel (reached the Citadel Tower, Council Chamber) and there was a long dialogue scene with the Catalyst-Shepard. Only Catalyst-Shepard's hologram and LI inside the giant hall, which changed its lighting to something mysterious. LI may cry after using some particular dialogue options, but Catalyst-Shepard will calm her/him down...

...At some point dialogue starts to fade, and cut-scene starts to turn into a painting slowly. Eventually, we see a picture (like in the endings' slides) with Catalyst-Shepard and LI, talking, and looking into the Council Chamber window... Then the picture itself will start to fade, and voiceover with "Old Man and a Kid" scene will start. Stargazer slide appears and we watch the scene till the end. And after that titles appear.

...Synthesis and Destroy variants of DLC could have similar ending sequence. I think this would be epic. Especially with right choice of music theme :)

You said this will be about a year later? I think a sole-survivor type would have an extreme likelihood of surviving the high EMS destroy ending. I have an earthborn version I picture going walk about probably through the Southwest. The LI will have to find her. Probably in some bar shooting pool at dives and doing shooters. I'm sure Liara could track her down pretty easily. Catches her coming out at closing. Real hard embrace, and gets in the car, conversation, stops at Shep's dive motel (Danny Trejo lookalike at desk). Ends to the sound of crickets.

I would support choosing your own protagonist from among your squad at the end. Put some extra dialogue/encounters for your LI. But don't make me play to a dozen different endings so I can play the DLC for each of the squadmates. It would also have to be much more linearized than the rest of the game.

I wonder if EA pays attention to this stuff at all.
So many money money money profit opportunities for them.
Then again, who cares about the fanbase?*

Yes, you are right. "Real" reunion only, if you choose the right choice. The Normandy Crew is trying to find Shepard. The could have success, they could not have success.

Well, if you will want to try all possible protagonists of such DLC really fast, then you can use save editor to switch LI :)
