Seival, my only question is that in talking to Shep, would you be able to save him?
Save her/him from what? In case of Control she died giving the birth to the new Catalyst. In case of Synthesis she died forcing the Synthesis on everyone. In case of "best-scenario" Destroy she survived on her own.

Allowing for Shep to be reunited with crew?

Shepard can only reunite with the crew in case of Destroy.
Catalyst-Shepard has good relationships with the Human-Shepard's LI, but reunion is impossible.
...This is how I see it.

Yes. That is a possibility. At Synthetis, he is gone.

DLC showing how the fleets got back to their homeworlds.
DLC showing what happens immediately to the crew. What does Garrus do? Back to Palavan with the Turian fleet? Stay with the citadel or the Normandy? Who becomes the new captain? Ash/Kaiden?
DLC explaining more about how synthesis "changes" people, if that is what you chose.
DLC showing a way to bring back EDI and the Geth if you choose destroy (that would be my number 1 pick).
DLC showing what happens to Liara after the ending.
I would go for ANY of those. Anything that allows me one more minute in that rich warm bath of the ME Universe.

This is really only one of the two things I need for it to be fine.

Sorry, but this is never going to happen, because it would break endings' balance.

I presumed s/he's still alive, since there's no citadel explosion or merging.

In case of Refusal the Cycle will continue. All help Shepard could get retreated. I'm afraid Shepard will just die slowly near the Anderson in this case. And after that she/he will be turned into a hask. And after that all people will suffer from painfull, hopeless and inevitable death, and subsequent transformation into the hasks/reaper...nomoredruggs wrote...
In the case of the refusal ending, could we not play with Shepard?

...Sorry for those dark words, but Refusers have to see what have they done.

Hm, the way I imagined it, since Shepard doesn't really activate any beam/explosion so the fleet doesn't immediately retreat,Shepard just radios hackett that the crucible didn't work, then gets rescued and just dies eventually in the war, probably feeling guilty and wondering if s/he did the right thing or not.
But since all other options would have us playing a crewmate, I suppose it would be a bit like cheating to be able to play Shep in one choice only.

I... don't like this. Sorry, but I've sorted out what happened after the end in my head - something like this would seriously damage my own vision. For example, post Control, I'd prefer it if no-one found out that Shep took control over the Reapers, and the Reapers then left the galaxy (after assisting with repairs). If we get post ending content, we *lose* our own ability to decide what comes next.
Of course, this just means I wouldn't download something like this. So I'm not against it... except (obviously) I'd prefer it if Bioware worked on content that I intend to play (Leviathan, for example...)
THAT SAID, I *love* the idea of getting to play as the LI for a while. But I can imagine that being quite a drag on voiceover work...
I think that suggested DLC will not break your own vision of Control at all. Catalyst-Shepard doesn't have to explain everything to everyone. It can just talk to the people it trust, and they will keep the conversation in secret.
