* if you are wonder what the most dominant class is...it's of course the GI with an Indra and a Piranha-6/5/6/6/3; try it, you won't be disappointed I guarantee it.

I'm going to try to hear the sound difference tonight.ryoldschool wrote...
Also, somebody mentioned somewhere ( maybe not this thread ) that the sound drops off with about 50 "rounds" left in the gun and you can use that to tell when to stop holding the trigger - that way you could keep your eye on the target instead of looking at the ammo count. -- I was listening for that last night and was unable to detect the audible clue. Maybe if I played with earphones on I could hear it, but not with my speaker system.

classic thread-classic fail by Pedactor. If you don't use it that's fine by me, less users equates to a smaller chance of the rifle being nerfed. You can spit out all the rhetoric you want and it won't change my opinion that the PPR is the 3rd most dominant gun in the game just behind the Piranha and Harrier. And is easily the main componant on my 2nd best character, the MQI-the PPR synergies perfectly with TS and I drop platinum bosses in one clip (I use no extra ammo mods btw) with little exposure.
I don't think so, this weapon gets you killed a lot and is very frustrating until you get the hang of it. Nerfers don't bother with such weapons.Quarian_Lover wrote...
I see some nerfers crying about this.

Right hand advantage, and soft cover. Learn what they mean.
It is very possible to fire an entire clip into any enemy and not take any damage at all. Of course you're going to die if you're herping and derping around in the middle of the map with it, taking fire on all sides. Bosses are easy to flank. An intelligent player staggers the smaller enemies with a power like Arc Grenade, or Proximity Mine before firing.

What's your opinion on the benefits of using it?

I know what those mean. I use them all the time. I tend to run and revive teammates or on objective waves.
That doesn't change the fact that without stagger immunity this gun suffers immensely and to say you never get hit means you are lying or playing an infiltrator, in which case, TC's bonus is only going to apply if you cloak mid stream with the gun already ramped up on full damage shots.
Pedactor wrote...
Yeah it does high damage to bosses, but I don't like it compared to lolranha, which is easier to use and staggers nearly immediately while innately penetrating light cover.
Ashen Earth wrote...
It does high damage to everything. Piranha is easier to use, but that doesn't mean "better".
Also, innate cover penetration? You have no idea what you're talking about.

You're right, I don't. You are amazing because you can use a gun that isn't user friendly.
Congratulations. I shall consider myself owned on the forums by the minority of players who love the PPR and don't find its mechanics terrible for a very small advantage of profit.

No, I have it at 1 and I hold my own on gold with a human soldier. At the same time, I will do poorly with a graal or GPS. This gun is very much a love/hate relationship.Immortal Strife wrote...
To be fair to you Predactor, Ashen and I both have the PPR at X, so it could very well be less effective at lower levels.

I've been playing on my kids account and he has the PPR at II, it's not as dominant as mine at X. That said, Predactor... doesn't seem to know what he's talking about... likely doing it wrong. It's a top 3-5 weapon...

Don't bring up how hard is it to use as a fact. I have no problem using it at all. I don't understand why is it hard to use it. It is absolutly easy to use, just watch your ammo remaining, so you don't have to wait 5 secs just 3, don't go rambo with it, but stay behind your teammates and get the bastards off them and the most important is to point it at the enemy.
I do not hide behind anything but cover on a destroyer. He's a front-line fighter. So no, I won't be doing that, and if that's how you play with that gun, I would recommend speccing 6/6/6/6/0 on your destroyer.
Also:
What other gun requires you to sit there for 5 seconds if you run its clip to zero?
What other gun has a 3 second charge up to deal maximum damage via round expenditure?
What other automatic weapon has its bullets fall to the ground at 50 meters?

Can you explain me why THE HECK I should change a tactic that keeps me AND my friends alive on platinum?

Whether I'm doing it wrong or not, there's more than just me, in this very thread, who don't like the gun. And as I said, in Gold PUGs, I have seen many kicked for using it. And by many I mean more than 20 times.
So congratulations to you all, as I've said before. But with that said, buff this gun by halving the charge up time. That's all there is to it.

This kicking thing must be Xbox/PC only because I go into Gold PUG with the PR and no Consumables and I have never been kick for using the PR.
And the wind up is 2 seconds how is that to long?

Hey if it works, go for it. For me and many others who would gladly trade their PPR for more ranks of other UR guns, it doesn't work.

Please explain why you don't use consumables? I ask because it's a pet-peeve of mine-I kick equipment hoarders 100% of the time.soultaker65 wrote...
