First off, I simply can't get enough of this game!  My first play through was a Human Noble 2-H Warrior and for my second play through, I'm using a City Elf Dagger Rogue.  The Rogue is leaving quit the bloody trail in his wake hehe.

For my third play through, I'm thinking of going with a Spirit focused mage on "Hardcore".  I've had Wynne and Morigan in my previous play through and still fell like I've only scratched the surface of all the magic in this game.

I'm curious about people's experience with the Spirit line?  It looks fantastic to me.  Could anyone suggest a good line to compliment Spirit?

How is magic on "Hardcore"?

Thanks!  Image IPB

It's a good specialization, yes. If you get Spirit Healer then it pretty much means your character is a healer in general so the first row of Creation school is great to pick up. Anything else you get really depends on what your concept for your character is and what your group composition is going to be.

Magic in general is strong on any difficulty. Healing is penalized in nightmare difficulty but nightmare difficulty is also where a dedicated healing/support character really shines in tandem with a good group setup.

I may keep Wynne in the party to be the main healer while my mage would handle DPS and CC.

The paralysis line is great, and love the walking bomb with it...

"Mass Paralysis... Walking Bomb... everyone run over there.  Plink Plink. BOOM."
