So there.

Although I already have the Argus.

But my body is ready for the Harrier...

I'd better start that new playthrough of the games soon...

As do I.

I like posting like this.

I feel like renegade Shepard.

Almost.

When I post in an ordinary manner it should be taken as such.

I might join you.

Not sure, though. Might go to bed.

Might make a snack. Maybe a bowl of cereal.

Do not buy it! I object on principle to the mission telling us about the Reapers being DLC in the game in which they are the main antagonists. It's like if you didn't find out Sovereign was a Reaper in ME1 unless you coughed up $10 for DLC. Important, plot relevant information is being withheld. Y'know, like with Javik except with no attempt at excuse or apology this time around.

So the extra content which cost a lot of work in the studio should just be free so they can lose money on each unit downloaded? Yeah they'll definitely do that untill they go broke and stop making games all together. Also stop calling everything vital just because its DLC, neither this nor Javik was esssential to completely the main story line.

On topic I'm definitely getting this when I've finished up my thesis.

Personally, I most likely will not be buying it.
Maybe not even youtubing it.
Just reading a quick summary at best.

While i agree that Javik wasn't relevant at all, just the principle of it got stuck up peoples noses (and i don't blame them, despite what BioWare would have you believe), the origin of the Reapers is. It was alluded to in the EC and then simply waved off with "there is no time", when there quite clearly IS time, and is a major plot point.

The kind of content that Leviathan is going to bring should have been in the original game. Period.

Complete? No. Javik is a lesser case; people were outraged at him being DLC on account of him being a Prothean, and that he couldn't NOT be significant to fans of the games and of the lore. And his conversations are much better than anything Vega can manage. But ME3 is about fighting the Reapers, and even the ending glosses over their origins with a handwave. It just seems more relevant to the plot than the stupid missions on the multiplayer maps, and running baby-sitter diplomacy missions.

So they save the best new character and an exploration into the origins of the main enemy for DLC. And $10 seems like a lot to ask, given the amount of content. So, if the main game was about 30 hours in a first playthrough for $60, then this DLC should be... 5 hours long if they want to charge $10 for it. I'll bet you it's not that long  ^_^

And, yeah, as the other guy said, CDP Red is frickin awesome. How awesome you ask? A guy who pirated Witcher 2 and asked for help with it on 4chan got flamed. 4chan dwellers FLAMED SOMEONE FOR PIRACY. I mean, it's like... whoa.

You do what feels right to you. Personally I'm not buying anything that doesn't stop ME3 from killing the series for me. This would mean the removal or neutralization of the holochild, not further chatting with him.

And no, it doesn't matter if it's the greatest thing ever or not.

In my game Commander Shepard is dead! I see no reason to buy additional DLC unless the DLC somehow changes that fact.

I hope Bioware considered this when they shoe-horned us into these terrible endings and made us suffer through his needless sacrifice. Personally I wanted to play a video game where I could have avoided Harbingers beam at the end like I avoided the other reaper beams. It would have been a more heroic sacrifice if Shepard avoided Harbingers beam and faced the catalyst at full health and full armor instead of being totally immasculated with one foot on the grave. I was hoping there was a purpose to being hit by the beam...like indoctrination. But if the ending is literal then it was completely unnecessary.

How about you do what every other sane on the fence person is choosing to do and wait for word of mouth to see if it'll have what you'd like.

I'm buying it as soon as it comes out, I just want more content. But I understand the caution other fans have so wait.

You're right, man! DLCs should contain only irrelevant informations!

I see some rift in the negativity camp - "I won't buy because it won't make a difference!" and "I won't buy it because it will make a difference!".

Don't buy leviathan until you see it! Simple as that. People want to say its ok to release and sell this awesome extra content that cost money to make and is peripheral to the base game, so I say we all should be awesome and smart consumers and test it out before we buy.

Would you have paid 10 dollars for the EC? Omg it's 1.9 GB of "content"! We've all seen the EC. Would anyone have paid 5 dollars for some slides and 5 lines of dialog? Hope not. I'm not saying video games are easy to make but the EC shows that time and energy goes into anything but that doesn't mean the customer owes you for it. But I digress.

Just wait until you know what's going to be in leviathan. No need to pay 10 dollars upfront and end up WTFing again. If it doesn't come out til the 28th oh well I can wait a few days til the Internet does its magnificent job of revealing and sharing information.

Hahanew model.

To be fair, a good chunk of that content appears to be plot flags and dialouge lines for leviathan. Not sure if that helps the EC's case but it certainly makes leviathan a little more interesting to me.

Also, like this guy said, wait and see.

I liked REAL expacs, you know? Like DA:O. Only complaint I had with the expac was the lack of depth in the supporting cast, something we've all come to expect from Bioware. Buying like 3 different DLC missions is just less fulfilling than 1 long arc for the COST of 3 different DLC missions.

Gotta be honest, that second post sounds way crazier to me. Excuse me for thinking I shouldn't have to pony up extra money for 1: content that's already on the disc (Javik), or 2: to find out about the villain of the game.

Plus, I don't want to learn any more about Reapers on the basis that the last time Bioware tried to explain Reapers, we got the Space Brat explaining how the strange and mysterious Reapers aren't technically synthetics because they're made out of organics.

AI is AI, bro. ;)

I am kinda at an ompass weither or not I should.

If I do, it means I'll be giving money to Bioware and EA. It reallyy bugs me, because I really don't want to support them at all, (Feel betrayed by ME3's ending and DA2)

If I don't, I'll have an incomplete ME3, and that kinda bugs me.

I can't pirate, because I'll get banned from XBL.

Mass Effect 3 is already incomplete. Better to not give EA/Bioware money for their unfinished product.
