From the OP- "If I do, it means I'll be giving money to Bioware and EA. It reallyy bugs me, because I really don't want to support them at all, (Feel betrayed by ME3's ending and DA2)"

For ****s sake, you're that petty? You still haven't gotten over the ending? "OOO I FEEL SOOO BETRAYED BY BIOWARE NEVER GONNA BUY ANYTHING MASS EFFECT RELATED EVER AGAIN".

If you feel like that, you truly are an idiot. Just because the endings were bad doesn't mean everything else in the franchise will be bad. At the end of the day, you're the one missing out on good DLC because you're still butthurt about the endings and you're a stubborn ******.

If I don't, I'll have an incomplete ME3, and that kinda bugs me.

I can't pirate, because I'll get banned from XBL.

Ask yourself these questions; if you strip away the names "EA" and "Bioware", and if you had not already seen the ending, would you buy the DLC? Above all, the other question to ask yourself is, do you enjoy playing the game? If you answer yes to either of those questions, then the answer is "yes", buy the DLC. I'm not trying to sound condescending, but just trying to strip away all the variables that would make you ask yourself if you should buy it in the first place.
Good luck:)

Not to mention the whole, "it being wrong" thing.

Beyond that, it's your decision.

Don't pirate it though, that's rude and the British navy will draw and quarter you and send your remains to Australia.

Some would say thats an improvement.

Nah, everything is incredibly expensive in Australia, although it's still an awesome country

Buy it if you want to play it, don't if you don't want to play it.

Its really as simple as that. All other variables are irrelevant.

I've already head canoned it, but am curious how close I am with it, so.. I'll go get the dumb thing.

(would anyways, really, but that's my rationalization..and the fact there'll probably not be any sequels, like "me 4", so. it's a 'good to the last drop' sales pitch.. ;)

General rule for DLC, if it's part of the story, then get it, since it was probably meant to be included anyway, weapons and appearance, just avoid those, it's not like you can't finish the game without those.  Same rule worked for me with ME2, and both Dragon Age games...although there is the rule I learned after Dragon Age, wait for the chuffin' Ultimate Edition with Awakening included and all the DLC.

If you own the game already, then get it, if not then just wait for the game to go on sale through Amazon, or see if there will be an ultimate edition of the game released with all the DLC (I feel satisfied with buying ME2 collectors edition for $9 and buying the story related DLC, almost like I ripped off EA for a change).

Yes! How dare you not offer up your precious money as sacrifice to appease the hunger of the rEApers?! Buy everything put out with the Mass Effect name on it! Don't even expect to get anything, just feed them your money! Buy pack after pack of crap in the multiplayer!  ME3 had the best ending ever, it's just that we're not capable of comprehending the ART of it!

It's not being an idiot to be upset about the trainwreck of the ending. We are allowed to be upset that, despite being promised that our choices matter, only the one at the end comes close to it. We are entitled to have an opinion about the game. There is no reason to throw more money at a game we're not satisfied with. There's no reason to preorder DA3 if we don't believe Bioware will deliver a game we will enjoy. Yes, the ending was that bad.

Don't buy it.
Find out as much info about it first and then Youtube clips and see if you like it enough to spend money on.

This is the point I'm trying to make. IT'S NOT OKAY TO CUT OUT PART OF THE STORY AND SELL IT AS DLC. Side quests, fine, character missions, cool, but not part of the plot proper. Lair of the Shadow Broker was pretty much my ideal DLC, good story, good fights, and ultimately superfluous.

I think that's a 3.8 from the Russian judge, though it's hard to tell with all the bite marks on the score card.

On the other hand, many sane people object to this kind of argument. There are long term considerations in play here. Continuing to fund a trend of decreasing quality may quite conceivably be taken as a validation of the approach of the purveyor of goods in question. One should consider the signals inherent in commercial transactions in such circumstances.

I would personally advise everyone to wait a week or two after release and read player reviews before making the decision.

If people blindly go in and buy it, then you are just contributing to proof that EA/Bioware may make anything of any quality and people will buy it just because it says "Mass Effect" on it.  Even those who currently like ME3 should be wary of buying things without review because it may lead to pumping-out poor-quality products in the future.  Instead, Bioware should have to earn its sales and put out a superior product that is worth the money.  Do players want good DLC like LotSB which the devs put a lot of work into, or bad DLC like Arrival which the devs did not put as much work into and IMO wasn't worth it?

For those who are upset with ME3, you should wait for the reviews because there is no point in buying something if you know you aren't going to like it.  If you give Bioware your money, then you are essentially approving of current practices.  If the new DLC is good, then you can make the decision on whether to send your approval/money.  If it is bad, then you know that it is just going to add to your frustrations, you are now out-of-pocket another $10, and Bioware essentially got your approval to keep making future DLC.

Nope.

But if you really do want it, I'd say wait a few days and maybe see what people have to say about it.

Who says it is going to be good DLC?  What if it gives approx. 1 hour of gameplay and ends up being Pinnacle Station-type quality?  If everyone buys it just because it is Mass Effect related, then Bioware knows that it can get away with producing cheap, crappy DLC because people are going to buy it anyway, why would they bother making more-expensive, quality DLC?
