If you liked the game pick it up. If you didn't don't. Pretty simple really.
" “Contrary to what you might hear on the internet, fans do want more content,” said Melo in a talk at GDC Europe, as IGN reports. “They tend to say, ‘I want it now.’ The problem with day one content and the challenge around it is that the right answer for now is different for every player. There is no single right time, there is no
single now. It’s subjective, and it’s unique to every player.” "
This is why we complain. Because "we want more content" does not equal "we want to pay more for a complete game." Which is what Day 1 DLC is. And plot important material being cut out. You think the history of the Reapers doesn't matter in a game where the villain IS THE REAPERS? Why include that at launch? That's silly. Tack on some hastily thrown together, circuitous missions in the MP maps in the game and then charge more for the history Reapers later.
DLC content should never be important to the development of the plot of the core game. Preferably, it should be self-contained plot as a separate entity.

Second, given what Bioware did to us with ME3 and the "take a long walk off a short dock" attitude they followed up with, do you really want to give these people more of your hard earned money?

Crappy ending?Hell yeah.If you hate Bioware/EA game including Mass Effect. You have 2 options.Move on & get off the forums or stop the constant ****ing.I'm done making my point.
Back to topic:If you hate it then you don't buy it.If you like the game & then buy it or not.Another thing why did you have to ask a question that you should have the answer to.

Arrival did its job. Extended the story and prepared us for ME3( though no one was prepared for whatME3 turned out to be). Take my money for that. If you are ignoring the fact that ME2 wasn't the end of the series(or shepards story) then you should sit and think about it.
You should be able to see the different situations the games were released in:
after me2-there's a whole new game coming after this that will have room for the origin story of the enemy and the mythology of the ancient race our current galactic state has relied on.
After Me3- there isn't any after, so whatever needs to be shared or conveyed to the player should be, and that included origins of the enemy you've fought as well as the mythology or history of the galaxy(prothy).
And to view that kind of information as non essential or undeserved by the player is plain wrong. Why make it if it's nonessential, if bioware was just making random dlc then why didnt we get a blasto character or some history about the andromeda galaxy or something

Well like D240 said about reviews and as to you not wanting to give EA money well I don't have an answer to that except unless a bunch of people boycott it with you it will be irrelevant
Well, I like to think its not irrelevant.

Wait a day and read reviews.
This. If you need the help of the BSN to decide whether purchasing is a good move you might as well wait until it is out and see the many reviews that will be here.

I have to say it.The morons(yes I am calling names)that have post it was cut from the game.Arrival was about the Reapers.Did you **** & say it was cut from the Mass Effect 2?What about the other characters, huh? They started making Leviathan around when Mass Effect 3 was being shipped out. Then people ****ed about endings so they had to drop everything to give you a better understanding for free which is GOD DAMN generous. Now when they are finishing something they thought we would like & most of you are ****ing.

Releasing EC for free wasn't "generous," it was a good business decision.
The original endings had a 25% approval rate at best. If Bioware didn't release EC, then fans are mad and few people are buying Leviathan, Omega, etc. Releasing EC made some fans happy and perhaps gives future DLC a fighting chance. Charging for EC would have made things much worse.
The rest of your post is garbage and offers no viewpoint of any value. You are not convincing anyone with that type of language so why even bother posting it? I am guessing that you are much smarter than what you are implying yourself to be in the post that I quoted, so why not act like it?

I am kinda at an ompass weither or not I should.
If I do, it means I'll be giving money to Bioware and EA. It reallyy bugs me, because I really don't want to support them at all, (Feel betrayed by ME3's ending and DA2)
If I don't, I'll have an incomplete ME3, and that kinda bugs me.
I can't pirate, because I'll get banned from XBL.
Help, I can't make up my own mind so I need to make a thread about it!
Seriously, if you like Mass Effect and want to play the full experience... Buy it.
If you like mass effect but don't want to spend money, watch it on YouTube.
In the grand scheme of things, your purchase means very little to bioware. They are not goin to say, "if just one more person would have purchased this DLC......"

I would imagine same with Leviathan, while it may not be NEEDED, those who want it should get it and those who dont, no worries. ME2 could be finished perfectly fine without Zaeed, Kasumi, Overlord, LOTSB and Firewalker, but i enjoyed a lot of what Z, K, Overlord and LOTSB brought to the table.
I'd imagine Leviathan will be the same

If, against all history and logic, DLCs go out the window and are never made again, the outcome isn't going to be 'put all those DLCs in the Day 1 product.' It will be 'leave those ideas on the cutting room floor.'
