The highest difficulty when completing ME2 for me was Veteran. I am playing through My Story again. I'm going to play ME2 soon. I want to try it on Hardcore, because I completed ME1 again on Veteran, and I want to build it up to Insanity for ME3. How difficult is Hardcore? Is it "dramatically" harder than Veteran? Is is close to Insanity? Is it a little similar to Veteran? I don't want to have a hard time with it. I like to enjoy the Story.

It's about as tough as you would expect it to be. Harder than veteran, but slightly easier than insanity. It's a good way to get used to some of the mechanics in insanity as well (like everything having some form of protection, not just health) It's worth a try.
