Actually, I honestly thought they would look at making a weapon that eventually broke the Indoctrination ability of Reapers. Both ME and ME2 did talk about how groups had been studying that, and that probably could have easily been considered by the Protheans (and other prime races during previous cycles), so having this finally come to fruition by the end of the game, (to me at least) would make sense. The impact of breaking Indoctrination I would see as weakening the Reapers at least somewhat significantly. Meh....it's a thought.
Could make that a re-writen RGB
Red - Weeken all the reapers, fry their kinetic barriors
Blue- Take control of a fraction of the reaper fleet to fight with the Aliance
Green- Break indoctrination and single minded nature of the reapers, turnning all reapers into individuals like Leviathan.
Very interesting..........

Just add something relatively important for Shepard squad to do during the final mission, and I'm buying it.
yes thats where the other Earth Missions come in, like ME2's suicide mission in each section you could pick new squad members, it would be the same here for each Earth Mission

I just wanted a 2 second shot of a Rachni or Krogan or Batarian ship in our battle lines. Does everyone use Asari, Human, or Turian Ships? I didn't even see Geth ships in the final battle.

You only see the Geth if the Quarians are dead. So yeah...

Though I wouldn't want it to be EXACTLY like the suicide mission.
I wouldn't really be like the suicide mission, but you would be sending a couple of teams to certain areas that can help in a good way or bad way depending on who you send
Either way.
I think Bioware ditched this approach because of budget reasons and the fact that the Reapers in other systems wouldn't be affected by the outcome of the battle at Earth.
I do agree it could well have been ditched due to money (though I really think they could have made far more money with 2 games and more DLC if they'd made 2 games out of it).
I would have preferred a whole galaxy approach, rather than let's all agree with TIM and save Earth.
I could see some super destroy all shields thingy traveling through the relays as detroy does now. Perhaps the crucible used as a dark energy weapon that activates something in the relays as well that creates dark energy from them that effects the mass effect fields around the reapers and lowers their mass and makes them weaker and vulnerable.

thats what most of us thought was gonna happen, and it would follow the pattern of past two games ending, One ending that can branch off in many ways based on your EMS and your choices.
and the Budget probably was too low for it, but also falls under the category of not having the real set Development time it should have had

You mean an ending that stayed thematically relevant and actually utilized the war assets that we spent the entire game collecting? That doesn't sound very artistic. Where's the speculation?

It didn't. It could have done a lot of things, but it didn't. It does what it does. "What if's" are ridiculous because that's not the direction the writers of the game decided to go with. If you want a universe where the Crucible does a "what if", go write your own game... or a fanfiction.

BSN would be no fun if you were king of it.
