What if the Crucible turned all the Reapers into delicious strawberry-banana smoothies?
It didn't. It could have done a lot of things, but it didn't. It does what it does. "What if's" are ridiculous because that's not the direction the writers of the game decided to go with. If you want a universe where the Crucible does a "what if", go write your own game... or a fanfiction.
Apparently, this one does not believe in speculation for everyone, just speculation that says, "BW, I love what you did with the galaxy!"
People want to have it both ways. If we have to head canon the endings, it's our game and we're asking BW to finish our game. If it's BW's game they should have maybe finished their game. Yes, it is what it is, but if you want BW to earn a lot of money, then it also maybe makes sense for them to bring as many people as they can into the ME fold, especially the fans that really loved the game and BW and now dislike both to some extent. I'm not saying what anyone has to do, but I am saying what makes sense for a business to do, so they can keep making games we love in the same way that makes us love them.
I daresay that if BW had made the ending full of circus clowns who all smothered Shepard with that strawberry smoothie, that using this logic we should ignore it? Be careful of saying that the writers should just do whatever they want, because you might end up just as unhappy as those of us that now are.
I do tend to still believe BW does care about this series and does have something up their sleeves. It may be wishful thinking, but I want to have a way to want to give them my money and to encourage them to make this kind of story game again. I also want this kind of RPG to be good. And BW is the only one making this kind of game right now.
The Witcher series may be good, but I can't play that as a female that I customize and to be honest the one "romance" scene I saw from Witcher 2 was not a love scene and it was pretty horrible, in my opinion. I think CDProjektRed has shown an appreciation for their fans, but I'm not interested in anything I've seen so far. And I really like SF a lot. So, hopefully BW will have a change of heart. It ain't over, till it's over.
