The key to it all is the Olympics.  It's code and we must figure it all out.  Vancouver, London, Rio (MP), but we are missing Sochi.  The key is Sochi.  I think some major event will take place there or not.  It might be just coincidence.

I kind of missed out on a whole bunch of stuff. Drat!

I was watching Russian soldiers dance, and arguing about trivial stuff.

We were stupid. And Tali was too. Instead of Geth parts, we should have been taking Reaper parts back to Xen for her to run tests on them. She could have come up with something. You know that Xen and Rael would have. They wouldn't have dismissed it like F*** Face, the Turian Councilor. No. They would have developed something probably more advanced than the Thanix.

Something that probably would have ripped the space-time continuum and sucked all of them into another parallel dimension. You know Xen, never content with minimal force. At least they'd be out of ours, right? So we'd lose earth, and the Citadel. Big loss. It was a ****** hole by 2186 anyway, well maybe not the Citadel, but at least Starbrat would be gone. Just hope she'd had figured a way of sealing up the tear. Council would be gone, too!

What am I saying? It wouldn't be that powerful. Mac wouldn't... well he might if it left things a wasteland..., but let's not go there.

No, she'd have something that would rip through reaper shields and hulls like they were toys. But they had Shepard fighting Geth. Geth! When we all knew who the real enemy was. NO. The Quarians are non-Council outcasts. Unclean! Suitrats! And they couldn't account for half of Sovereign? Huh? And there was "nothing to suggest it wasn't Geth technology????

Counter-indoctrination tech!!!!! That's it!!! Counter-indoctrination tech!!! You find out about this early on in the game at Mars from Liara who was contacted by Tali about what Xen found but she needs help. Have our esteemed Dr. Solus (okay you have to make a choice of curing genophage or this) work on a solution along with Admiral Xen (so you have to save the Quarians or make peace although Xen and Solus' replacement can do it just not as effective). And we skyjack Harbinger!!!! "Assuming Control of this Form."

Our ground team goes up the beam to the Citadel and opens it. We take Harby and lock onto the Citadel, dock Crucible, and open the relay to Dark Space. Now the Crucible we work on something that fires it from a remote quantum entanglement signal.

Now this relay opens only two times, right? When it's time to enter, and one other -- when it's time to go home. Reapers not too bright and respond to Go Home signal. Well we reinforce the signal since we control Harbinger. Once the reapers have left. We destroy Harbingers mass effect core.

"Joker, get us out of here." Harbinger gets sucked through the relay. We activate Crucible, Joker gets us to minimum safe distance and the thing fires and blows the Dark Space Relay, and fries the Citadel Relay, and Citadel AI systems, but leaves our galactic relay system alone, and our Geth alone.

I just noticed from your post that part of the problem that occurs in ME3 could have avoided if Bioware didn't retcon the Council in ME1

Aha!  It's starting to make sense.  In that MP pack there will be new challenges, Rhythmic Dance and Dressage.

And the last challenge was Olympus.

Skyjacking Harbinger would be a hell of a boss fight once we got inside. We'd have to do it Suicide Mission style.

Now the ground team would consist of the ME2 squadmates + Coates + Anderson + Wrex + Victus and you get to make your squad divisions based on that as well, oh and lets throw a geth hunter in there. You'll want to make sure all your ME2 squad survived. We'll move Jacob up there as well. Not everyone is going to make it through. You'll pick one to control in this group. Me? I'd probably pick Zaeed. That'll have a hell of a boss fight as well. More of a hold the line battle.

result? I think it would be epic. It may be totally over the top, but you'd have the "FK Yeah!!!" feeling afterward. And that, to me is what it's about.

It should also be that if you have the right person in charge of those teams in the Suicide Mission style, there chance of survival will be good

Exactly. Grunt is not the most stabilizing person. Miranda is a tactical genius. I would think Javik would be another one with high "hold the line" if you include the inspirational way he handled the Asari. Anderson would have strong "hold the line" value. James, not so much. Garrus = Miranda. Zaeed high survival, but no leader; same with Samara. Wrex high but not among non-Krogan

Well, in a parallel universe our alter egos are enjoying this ending.

Javik did have command of his own crew and Garrus did run his own Merc group before, so they would good leaders, but I always brought Garrus with me on the final Earth Mission lol

In Mass Effect 1, you charged a Mako through a secret Prothean relay to land directly into the Presidium, space walked up the side of the tower and defeated Sovereign's avatar while the fleet pounded away at him.

In ME2, you jumped to the core of the galaxy, blew up the ship that was responsible for killing you, stormed the enemy base, blew up a Reaper larva and flew out of there before it all blew up.

The finale of Mass Effect has always been over the top. ME3's should've been over the top, instead of a lethargic trudge through London with no music or epic events and a nonsense attempt at quasi-existential bull****.

Ooo... We have to have Xen and EDI on the team for that. Xen of course will want to run tests on EDI but you'll have to work out a compromise that she can do a non-destructive examination of EDI AFTER if EDI will permit it.

The Skyjacking part is the main boss fight. Come on. Hacking Harbinger? You think there's going to be no resistance? Shepard (male or female) gets out the Cubans and the gold lighter for this one. This is Arnold movie stuff. James packs a minigun w/2000 armor piercing rounds. Oh, the cigars are for lighting dynamite -- it'll be effective against the reaper minions. You'll have to hold position while EDI and Xen and Tali hack. Javik, Garrus, James, Kaiden/Ash, Liara, Shepard, and since we're re-writing Kal'Reegar (kee'lah se'lai), and a couple of screw ups named Cpls. Hicks and Vasquez that Hackett sent over to help you out.

Image IPB
Image IPB

Harbinger throws everything it has at you. Brutes, ravagers, banshees. It's like a Gold reaper wave 10 hack. If this isn't boss enough for you, you haven't played Gold. You haven't suffered. You've got rockets. You're also going to need them for the extraction. The words you are waiting to hear are EDI: "I HAVE CONTROL." EDI is going to go into a stasis and is being very closely monitored by Xen and Tali. Then the attack ends. How is this possible? Computer magic. Xen, Rael and EDI developed some counter measures. Just go with it.

Now you go to the Citadel team and do your thing there. Now since you weren't working with Cerberus, you picked up Miranda on Overlord. Citadel team is against Cerberus + Reapers. I think playing Miri would be a good choice since you confront TIM.

But you get to control a reaper. We'll let you pilot it and dock it. Open relay. Coordinate evac with team II. You do your thing to blow Harby, get evac. But wait. EDI cannot release control!!! WTF??? Harby is absorbing EDI. "Sorry Shepard. Sorry Jeff." But you've got to go. Now. The ship is blowing. Steve is waiting. You jump. The ship blows and Steve flies off the second you're aboard and Harby is sucked through the relay at the exact same second. And you're on the Normandy.

Xen jumps out of the shuttle and sprints to the AI core with Tali. Shepard is on the bridge. Joker is holding back tears. And a comm from Xen: "We're ready, Shepard." "Fire."

The crucible fires, and the big detonation we were wanting happens. Things dim for a second and this blue orb pops up "Well, Jeff, it was nice while it lasted. I might go for a slightly different look next time."

Shepard: "I'll leave you two alone." ----... meets LI in cabin.... fade to black.... credits.... ACDC's "Big Gun" as theme.

Just got back from my round of golf + basketball game.

Unfortunately not. I missed my calling.

Miranda (to TIM renegade interrupt): I've got this Anderson. You had ideals once. Then Overlord was the first transgression. Attempting to control the reapers was another. (uses biotics to lift TIM) Sanctuary was plain evil. Then you messed with Oriana. That was a big mistake. (fires TIM through window TIM falls several hundred feet)

You do have to admit you'd be cracking up through about half of the ending, but the adrenaline would be pumping.

And when you saw "Commander Shepard has become a legend. We plan DLC to enhance this adventure in the future. Please be sure to keep your final save game." How would you have felt about it?

Sounds great, as long as it isn't presented by a small child who killed trillions and indoctrinated everyone he met into becoming his slaves and I've expected to kill myself based upon his word for these outcomes.

Thye last Winter Olympics were in Vancouver 2010.
The next Olympics are in Rio.
The 2014 Winter Olympics, officially the XXII Olympic Winter Games, in Sochi, Russia, with some events held in the resort town of Krasnaya Polyana.
5 rings in the Olympic symbol and they are Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, Black.
5 continents they represent, "Africa, the Americas, Antarctica, Asia, Australia together with Oceania, and Europe
are considered to be Continents" from here - http://www.nationson.../continents.htm
5 Major races in ME3 - Asari, Human, Turian, Krogan, Salarian, then Quarians, Geth, Batarians, Hanar, Drell, Volus, Elcor, etc.

I see a pattern there... but others will need to take up the Torch as I dunno what more to do with it!
