Were you that Novaguard on gold whose last words were, "No problem, I can handle that turret", or the N7 Shadow who sliced up a Ravager, only to die in a pool of acid? Or maybe you had just one second to feel like a hero after killing three Phantoms, only to be stabbed by the fourth one behind you, you didn't see.

I had one earlier when I was playing the Shadow against Cerberus and my health was low and the shields depleted. So I looked around for the nearest enemy with shields and found an Engineer who I SS'd immediately. Too bad that he was about to set down a turret and had just taken it off his back. The thing exploded right in my face as my attack hit, killing me instantly.

Recent one I remember -

Playing Kroguard on Glacier, Cerberus. Back side of the LZ, two Phantoms ambush me at the intersection, after I drop another right there. Shields down! I charge and stagger one, and rapidly back up towards the LZ. Second Phantom is on me as I get charge back. I charge and hit her into the LZ area, losing track of the second Phantom. Pop, shields down again already. Health slipping fast, I heavy melee to get the one I just charged off of me. I miss, slide right by, and expect the sword any second.

Yep, down I go. Sonofa****. Wait! I'm not instagibbed?!? What got me?!

Killfeed: Nemesis killed me. Holding my own against two Phantoms and bagging another, I make a mistake against them, and will accept my deserved fate, and a freakin' Nemesis bags me.

Last night I was playing my paladin on Rio, we were in the back corner (the one opposite of the AA guns) and I had taken cover on the half wall by the pillars in the back. A banshee stood right on the other side of the wall, and magnet handed me through the wall. It was both infuriating and somewhat hilarious at the same time. I'd had a few other issues that night and similar glitchy deaths, so what else could I do but smile and say "you got me game...you got me good."

Died literally a step away from successfully delivering a pizza. With nobody around to revive.

Luckily I still had some medigel, otherwise the wtfery on my part would be astronomical.

Stupid: Wave 10 hack on White/Reaper/Gold. The wave starts and I run to the hack zone as fast as I can. I turn the corner and run straight into a spawn. Without hesitation, a Brute grabs me and slams my body to the ground. That was my fastest, cheapest death to date.

Funny: anytime Marauder Shields steals a kill from Basnhee Barriers

I wouldn't know. I've never died or been hit in a game. I never spec into Fitness because it is a waste of points, and I score consistently 200k in Platinum with my Avenger.

I'm actually surprised there have been no posts like that yet.

Embarrassing is dying by Nemesis, no matter what got you to healthgate in the first place. Worse than swarmer death, imo.

The awkward moments that were generated playing as any type of Asari. Deaths consisted of less than ideal positions that would be considered rather suggestive.

Playing as an asari Vangaurd on Dagger wave 10. Something blew up next to me and I found myself on the roof of the main building. But I kept going up and up and up...never did stop. I went up so high I was able to see the whole compound. Those radar dishes look like they go on for miles. As wave 11 began I continued go up. I would have left but it was the last wave. I just could not make myself leave and loose out the XP and credits.

But I often wonder what the other players were seeing. Me flapping around on the ground maybe? That is one I won't forget.

Embarrassing is standing toe-to-toe with Brutes and Ravagers and Banshees and, on noblely retreating, shields and health depleted, running straight through a cluster of Swarmers you didn't see.

Funny/fustrating is the hack point circle of death-and-revive as you are slowly overrun

I entered a Platinum game with a level 20 just to try it and I died within five seconds. I have yet to try Platinum again.

Back when gold was difficult, I was playing my Salarian Infiltrator on Ghost against Cerberus. My friends all got killed and ran out of medi-gels. I was the only one left on wave 9 without any resources but my super useful thermal clip packs. I killed 3 atlases alone and here comes the phantom with its completely unfair instakill. I threw my xbox controller across the room in a complete rage.

This too... I usually am struggling to shoot a  missle to make the problem go away. Sometimes successful... sometimes not. <_<

I was thrown into a middle of a Gold game in White, Cerberus as the enemy. As soon as I appeared into the landing zone, I was instantly gutted by a Phantom which was waiting right next to me.

I was playing Rio on Platinum with one random who didn't seem to know what the heck he was doing the whole time. On the final wave, two of my buddies ended up dying and it was me and the Random who made it to the LZ as the counter ticked down...

My first "win" on FBW/Platinum/Geth... I don't know if it's more frustrating or funny.

Wave 11.. 1min 30sec until extraction.. within the next 10-15 secs, everybody flatlines after being raped by ravagers, geth primes, banshees. I survived by sheer badassery.. err.. by running around, kiting the banshees and other mooks. last 15 seconds, i run to the extraction zone (out of rockets and medigel) by taking the stairs going up, only to be given a warm welcome by the 4 banshees/primes that i was trying to avoid. with 7 seconds remaining. the end.

Went on by myself against a banshee and a couple of brutes and one ravanger. Got rid of everything else except for the banshee who was almost dead. Got jumped on by a swarmer...

Omg, it doesn't get funnier than this. Made me laugh.

I was killed my a husk in in bronze while using my Male Quarian Infiltrator.
Right as the husk grabbed me my xbox 360 control ran out of battaries. So while i was looking for the control connection in order to get my control on again, That Husk destroyed me. By the time i connected my control again, I had bled out. Guess the people playing with me did not want to save me.

Playing a Novaguard on Jade. Now, I'm painfully aware that Novaguards have a bit of a reputation; so I spend the whole match trying to prove that I can be sensible about it. I make a point of not jumping into trouble I can't get back out of.

Then, on wave 10, I see a Geth trooper moving towards a downed team mate; there's 3 troopers there in total that I can see. 'No problem' thinks I. My biotic charge gets me there in the nick of time, and my nova scatters the troopers to the four winds.

I go to pick up my team mate, and get murdered by the cloaked hunters I couldn't spot from across the map, AND the Pyros that were standing just around the corner.

I have no mic, and cannot communicate with my team, yet I spend the next 5 minutes telling my monitor that 'I WAS being careful.' and 'That wasn't my fault!'.

Perhaps these events will make me a better Novaguard. I can but hope.

That seriously made me laugh and feel sorry for you at the same time. Good story!

jumped into an already on going silver reaper match on dagger i believe wave 6 or 7 as a destroyer. i'm all ready an set to start kicking butt an i hear the match going on and my remote starts vibrating i'm trying to figure out why and what the heck is going on. Finally my screen loads to banshee lifting me up and stabbing me. Greatest way to start up a match.
