Exactly.  Asari aren't dudes because they have breasts and no man parts or man functions.  They don't even identify as men.  The word "patriarch" has no meaning in the Asari language.

Maybe ancient asari were all men then the protheans did some surgery to them as a joke.

Okay, you can't harp on about how great Miranda is and then declare characters nothing but "1s and 0s" whenever it's convienant for you. It's got to be one or the other.

I have no idea why I like her so much either. I guess it's a combination of her nerdy cuteness, the way she moves- very fluid and sensual. Also she is very human- even the "scales" on her head look more like a chic short haircut then "tentacles" The blue skin doesn't make her look too alien- it makes her look more ethereal. Blue skin is a godlike characteristic in some cultures, (well in hindu culture). So the color is more exotic looking to me then alien. She is also one of the most loyal and affectionate team members in the game. I didn't romance her in my cannon playthrough but when I looked up the scene from me3 I was giggling and smiling the whole time.

Biology.

She's got a body most men would drool over and most women would envy if it belonged to a real person. And her face was based on a model. With that in mind it isn't that big of suprise that most fans think the character's modelesque looks are attractive.

Granted she might have some alien features, but not so much that most people would find them repulsive, like say a female Krogan or Salarian character.

In short, people find the character attractive for the same reason they also like Miranda, Ashley, Jack or Tali. If they were real people they'd have features that most men are biologically programmed to find attractive. Of course, there are always a few outliers.

I think she looks far too human to be an alien, it's like geez at least try to look different from humans to make them more unique.

that's why I like tali (no bioware's photoshoopdawhoop doesn't count), it leaves what quarians look like to the imagination and I'd sooner texmod that embarassing photoshop hack job. the more alien the better
