She's not.
This. Annoying voice coupled with an unappealing body (the only Mass Effect T&A that catches my eye would be Aria's and Jack's and only because they are interesting overall. I'm not sorry about preferring males.) and an equally unappealing personality.
Preferring men goes a long way towards explaining why you found Liara's body unappealing.
Because she's got a body that the average heterosexual male would drool over, and most women would envy.

She's really not. Her asari mind games are distorting your perception. In actuality she's really a direct cousin of the hagraven.

The reality is what you see. BTW that's deep, think about it.

If the Asari were capable of some sort of mental shape shifting you'd see their true forms in pictures and video. In both however, you see Asari in their familiar forms, including Asari that Shepard has never met before.

Pretty much, yeah. Can safely say I don't envy the stock Mass Effect female form (chest too small and I work too hard on my own body not to be proud of it), but that would be why you put 'most' there (with which I would agree, btw).

Actually, it's vice versa. If you think don't think a fictional character can be attractive you're probably asexual.Speezy wrote...

I think mostly is about "lesbian". I mean, you think she will this popular if she just
avaliable only for male shepard?
sorry if I offended, just my opinion on this.
I'd say if she was strictly heterosexual, she would probably be #2 behind Tali in terms of popularity.
She's my #1 though.
If she was strictly into males, then she would be behind Jack in terms of popularity. The commen populace prefer their own kind, and aliens are too weird for them.

The bachelor party dialogue on Illium was a joke rather than a canon info dump on Asari biology.

While I was ready to leave the bachelor party as just a joke, Mordin's comment about asari actually made me think that the guy at the party had a point. I do think asari manipulate others (mentally or with some crazy pheromone) to make themselves more appealing to multiple races.
As for Liara, I don't find her hot. I like men.

She went from a person who likes to dig holes to a badass who kills Cerberus mercilessly. Oh, and her body.

Dunno about this statement. Her body is decent, but not "drool material". Could be a taste thing, but ... nope. I think I'm simply not interested in Liara as more than a friend. Too bad it's impossible to tell her that in ME3 without being a complete jerk - and that's simply not my Shepard.Han Shot First wrote...

Man, I started a new playthrough in ME1 and I totally remember why ME3 feels incomplete in the RPG-area. I can't play Shepard the way I want.
The funny part is: I don't like her facial structure. It doesn't feel fully matured yet, maybe it's her nose.Baanrit wrote...
Simple - BW gave her a very pretty face
with petite features, beautiful eyes, and a sexy/husky sort of voice
which delivered the lines with a sort of approachably nerdiness. Oh and
between for LoTSB and Mass Effect 3 they packed a little more pa-dow
(technical term) on the body model. Not in the least bit fat, but
nicely/athletically filled out.
Lips are okay. "Brows" - well, I rather have the standard Asari face tattoos than "normal" brows.
And dunno why, but I listened to Liara in both dubs: English and German. In neither language her voice is "husky" or "sexy". It's plain and distant. The nerdy perk doesn't do it as well.
I can say, Liara is more a friend than anything else to all of my Shepards since "body" isn't all and the package as whole doesn't appeal to them.
Doesn't mean I hate her.
I just can't find Liara sexy. Cute? Yes, maybe. Sexy? Nope.

Not choosing the "I want to be more than friends" line (you know, the line that locks the romance) is not exactly being a complete jerk.
Liara: "I wish we could spend more time like this. Just....friends."
Shepard: "I'd like that."
How is that rude? Of course you can also skip the Citadel scene all together.
It was much easier to fall into a relationship in ME1. Liara's dialogue was buggy, and it's nearly impossible to stop the romance with Ashley and Kaidan (if you don't romance Liara) without being overly renegade/rude with them. That is something ME3 did much better.

"Write my name in the stars" - which comes with a slightly romantic touch that doesn't fit for friends. Turning Liara down is possible but quite rude. I never pick that option 'though I wish I could refuse it without hurting her.
"Special gift" in the farewell scene. You get it, if you were nice to her, even if you didn't romance Liara. Turning her down in that particular moment feels so low to me, I never pick that option as well. However, again it comes with a not-needed romantic undertone that's not appropriate for friends.
Know what I mean?
In ME1 I think there was a bail out option quite early in the game when you pull the professional card that doesn't feel that rude.

Ashley, Liara, Dr Chakwas...Shiala...Gianna...even Benezia.
Samara, Miranda, Jack - even if you hate the bald, tattoo look you cannot deny that Jack has a gorgeous face.

Of course everyone has different take on what is attractive, but Liara does have a modelesque figure.
