When I set my graphic details to medium, his face looks really old lol.On low settings his face looks great, except that he has no eyes, just round brown circles, which is why I normally set to medium.

Its not a huge problem, just a curiousity.

Shouldn't higher graphic details make their faces look better?

It's not a problem with your GPU, but with the face morph chosen for Alistair. The default face morphs for most NPCs are "meh" at best, which is partly why Dragon Age Redesigned, Improved Atmosphere, and other projects came to be. If you're playing on PC, visit Dragon Age Nexus and take a look at the various face morphs available for NPCs and companions.

I think that you can't see such things as wrinkles, imperfections and other details on lower settings. That's why he and some other characters might look younger then. Whether they look better, well, that's a matter of taste I think. I like my "wrinkly" companions. ^_^

Family guy is a really good example. Before Peter Griffin got an HDTV (Low settings), when he tuned to FOX news he saw this really hot woman on the news. But when he DID have an HDTV (High settings) he was able to see every wrinkle and find out that the woman was an old **** the whole time and puked a bit in his mouth. :D

Yes, it is a matter of taste, I prefer his low settings face with no wrinkles lol, but the lack of details in the eyes keeps me on medium setting, plus I like the gore.
