Only 11 more days! Woo hoo! That should give me just enough time to finish up my Maya playthrough, and maybe get back into my Axton one...then I'll be ready for Gaige!

I'd really like to see what exactly her skills are. This snapshot doesn't really help much.

There's a character in a quest in the game who looks a LOT like Gaige. You'll know what I mean if you've tried the mission. Makes you wonder if it's a family member.

I just hope the skill trees are worth it. I'm not really sure I'd like to play what Gearbox once called "girlfriend mode", where bullets will ricochet and hit enemies sometimes even if you have bad aim. Sounded like low skill, low risk and low reward. But they also promised that the two other trees would be high risk, high reward, which sounds quite delicious!

More Pep looks like an alternative version of Flicker.

Can't wait to try out Gaige!

The "global achievements" page on Steam for BL2 lists three unnamed chievos for the game, I presume these are tied to our gal Gaige.

Loving this game. Have done four first playthroughs, two commandos, one siren, one assassin. Can't get into the Gunzerker. Uninteresting and obnoxious. Taking a break now to replay the AC series then will start playing again.

What? Sal is great.

As for the three unnamed achievements, we can safely assume one is tied to Gaige's action skill as the others get one too. The two others... Well, who knows.

If I had to guess those two chievos might be tied to echo recordings and customizations(presuming they're related to her).

Is he? I was listening to his Echo recordings in Thousand Cuts, and thought he kinda sounded like a meathead; just shy of a caveman. I'm curious about his gunzerker skill, but hope those recordings weren't indicative of his true personality.

I finished the game on Saturday, with Maya. Well, the main quest, anyway. Now I'm going back and closing up loose ends, and building up my badass points.

My take on Borderlands 2 is that it's phenomenal. I would put it in my top 5 games of all time. In fact, I told my husband that it was the 'most epic game ever', and he asked, 'what about Skyrim'? Oh yeah.
Image IPB

In my many, many hours of play, I only had two glitches (and no lock-ups):

- The first was when Maya suddenly had Axton's voice. Hearing a man's grunts for several hours while playing a female was quite disconcerting. Even when using Maya's action skill, it was Axton's voice. Luckily, that worked itself out finally, and has been fine since.

- The second was a sinking floor issue in the Eridium Blight. In one area of a bandit camp, Maya and the buggy kept sinking through the ground, and landing on the road underneath. If you know the area, you know that's pretty lucky, considering all the hot lava flowing nearby. Overall, a miniscule issue, barely worth mentioning.

In regard to challenges, that one where you have to turn on the radio tower above Slab Town is ridiculously difficult. I'd figured out how to get across the bridge, but that first leap onto the roof of the building is, well, a challenge. I got tired of trying before I went on to something else, but it will nag me until I get it accomplished.

I tried out Vault Hunter mode, and was hoping it would actually be a different vault somewhere, based on Lilith's comments, but it's simply NG+ from what I can tell. I only got as far as clearing out Liar's Berg, but was happy to see that enemies were tougher, and loot drops were much better.

Overall, this game was well-written, and evoked real feelings of anguish. Handsome Jack is probably the most effective antagonist I've seen in a long time. Bravo.

We're still not finished over here (a lot of that is due to the fact we both got sucked back into Dark Souls) But we did have a nasty glitch...

I forget what the quest is called, something like Breaking the Bank, one of the objectives is to get explosives from Mad Dog. Well, there was a rather huge skirmish around his location, and he got blown off the map. The objective marker now points to instant death

I think this can be fixed, (we haven't returned to it yet.) considering bosses respawn, I'm sure Mad Dog will too. If not, I think switching the host player may restart the quest, but I'm not sure.

How long does it normally take for bosses to respawn anyway? Because I know we fast travelled away to sanctuary and back, and the marker was still unreachable.

^ I don't know how long it takes for them to respawn, but I know that they do/will. The next time you play, he'll probably be there. Have faith. Image IPB

I can't tell you how many times I've fought Boom/Bewm and Flynt. And Rakkman. And...and... Yeesh.

Is it just me or have they removed the mechanical limb she had in her concept art?

^ I think it's still there, but they've swapped it to the other arm...?

Hey, have you guys gotten the Good Touch SMG from Moxxi? Just curious how it is.

I can't see it. Hopefully it's still there, reminds me of Fullmetal Alchemist.

I've gotten it but quit the game before saving. I've heard it's good though.

I have Bad Touch already, but Good Touch requires quite a bit more cash. But Moxxi's jugs deserve it. Hehe. Image IPB

I have a few Good Touches and Bad Touches and all of them are insanely good. Not only because of the high elemental damage, but they also give you health when you deal damage (at least the Good Touch does)

So go ahead and tip Moxxi :)

He is kind of a meathead actually, but ironically he isn't a good class FOR meatheads. Gunlust is a very technical damage dealing tree and does phenomenal damage if you know what you are doing, and you can only really "tank" with Brawn with some tactics and good timing (in TVHM at least).

My take on Borderlands 2 is that it's phenomenal. I would put it in my top 5 games of all time. In fact, I told my husband that it was the 'most epic game ever', and he asked, 'what about Skyrim'? Oh yeah.

Totally agree. It's by far the best game I have played in a long time. I am not going to do the Skyrim comparison. No need. It's phenomenal like you said; let's just leave it at that.

- The first was when Maya suddenly had Axton's voice. Hearing a man's grunts for several hours while playing a female was quite disconcerting. Even when using Maya's action skill, it was Axton's voice. Luckily, that worked itself out finally, and has been fine since.

And you're sure this isn't the part of the main quest where you get Jack's voice? Because that is not a bug.

^ Hmm, I don't know. I don't think it was, but I could be wrong. I'm fairly certain it was Axton's voice, because I also have an Axton character in play, and have grown somewhat accustomed to his grunts. Heh. It was terribly strange, either way.

The voice thing started right after a fast travel back to Sanctuary, before even talking to anyone.  It didn't stop until later on, while in the Hyperion location where Angel was.

So since you've mentioned it, when is that Jack's voice thing supposed to happen?

It starts after you finish the main quest in Opportunity and stops after you defeat Bnk3r and open the door that requires Jack's voice command.

So... I'm pretty sure that was it :)

^ Ahh, you are probably right. So you're stuck with his voice that whole time? lol And dang, Jack sounds a hell of a lot like Axton. You should try out Maya, just to see how weird that whole thing is.
Image IPB

So, that means I only had one terribly insignificant glitch. That's pretty awesome, for a game of that breadth.

We asked ourselves the same thing over here... until i opened a random box in the wildlife preserve, and he popped out of it.

I'm thinking it's a random location, and the chances are pretty low.

But it balances out, you got the slot machine jackpot, i didn't, lol.
