What programs, compilers etc. this game requires to be executed? Is it 32-bit exclusive?

I need answers.

It requires Steam, I don't know what you mean by 32-bit exclusive, unless you're wondering whether it has a 64-bit exe, in which case I don't think so.

How is that more important than PIRATE DLC that comes out next week?

Heheh, I'm just teasing. Image IPB

So my 64 bit processor can't run it at all. Or a 32-bit windows can do it instead?

I run 64 bit windows and have zero problems running the game. If that's what you're asking.

Yep. Thanks to WoW64 (part of Windows), you can run 32 bit programs on 64 bit Windows. I also run 64 bit Windows and have no problems with Borderlands 2.

Oh and PIRATE DLC! Next week? Seriously? That's amazing. I wish they would publish just a short description or something though. I only know it involves pirates and booty. But maybe that should be enough.

Hopefully the DLC is similar to B1 DLC in length.

They said it will be around the size of Knoxx's Armory from BL1.

I'm going to wait until the preview embargo is lifted before getting the season pass, Randy said the SP will possibly disappear when Scarlett's Booty is released. I want a good idea of where the bar is set for the DLC before I give them my money beforehand. I mean everyone just buying the season pass right away could give them an excuse to be lazy and rush things out as they already have our money.

I'm not too privy on returning to the desert again, even if it looks a little different. Lord knows I got enough of that just in BL1. I'd rather it be set on the actual sea as that's something that hasn't been explored in Borderlands yet and it would be really cool driving over an ocean with a hovercraft instead of another desert.

Hm... I actually miss the desert settings from BL1. I found the Mad Max / wild west atmosphere perfectly fitting for this.

Part 2 is a bit too... colorfull for my taste. Lost a bit of it's Mad Max charm - also due to the guns being much more futuristic/plastic now.

So, what is the point of joining this Shift? I have no codes yet. When do they release some?

I just found more info about Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty:

As predicted, this campaign expansion is set to future numerous the following:

- A new area called ‘Oasis’, described by president of Gearbox Software, Randy Pitchford, as a dried up landscape that’s currently occupied by bandits.
- Seraph Crystals are the new currency for this upcoming DLC.
- A Sand Skiff vehicle.
- Four new bosses: Captain Scarlett, The Leviathan, Hyperius the Invincible, and Master Gee the Invincible.
- One of the raid bosses can only be farmed once a day. Due to a lockout that prevents this mysterious raid boss multiple times.
- Every character, including Gaige the Mechromancer, gets a new head to unlock.
- Seraph now seems to be the highest tier of rarity, beating the orange rarity items. You’ll know an item is of Seraph rarity due to its pink lettering.
- Three new achievements will also be available with this upcoming expansion DLC, which are; Gadabout, Completionist and Treasure Hunter.

New heads!
Salvador
Axton
Zer0
Maya
Gaige - I don't see one for her, but supposedly she's getting one.

On a sidenote, I've been listening to Gaige's Echo Logs, and OMG, they're hilarious. I like her more and more all the time.

Yeah definately want the Axton one. Will replace my 'Roguish Renegade' head for certain.

Though the the Bone Head will go along way towards perking up my interest in playing Zer0 again.

Sadly, the least interesting one - to me, anyway - is Maya's. Kinda dull. I'm half tempted to try out Zer0 for myself, too.

What a brilliant play by Gearbox, to release this DLC right before Halloween. Image IPB

As cool as new heads are, I would have liked a bit more info about where it starts and ends level-wise. If it doesn't scale past 35, then it's kind of malplaced in PT1. If it scales past 35, it overlaps with TVHM (which for some people is probably a good thing).

Personally, I am still hoping for a few extra levels or just a skill point reward for completing it. Gives a better sense of progression that way.

Besides, they're probably going to place the new heads as rewards for killing some raid boss a billion times :)

^ Yeah, all good points. I guess we'll all get to be surprised when it comes out. I got the season pass, so I'll be downloading it as soon as I get home from work on Tuesday. Awesome week ahead, I just know it!

Same here. Also have the season pass. Normally I wouldn't buy one of those, but Borderlands 2 is a pretty amazing game.

How nice that all the good games are released in the same few months :/

I chose Zero for my first playthrough. Dat 2nd or 3rd mask is so badass!

At least I have some experience in Unreal games... The shooting methods seem similar.

Speaking of Unreal, Gaige's deathtrap has this one ability where it shoots out an orb and she can shoot it to cause an explosion. ^_^

Man, Gaige is too strong I almost don't enjoy playing her.

Yep. Gaige is amazingly strong. I think in PT2 the balance shifts and Ordered Chaos seems to be the strongest tree. I am at 44 now using full Ordered Chaos with Close Enough and Cooking Up Trouble. Just ran through the Wildlife Preserve and had 300-400 stacks the whole time.

But I *do* enjoy playing as her. I can finally have a REAL run and gun build, not one that rests on a relatively high cooldown ability (Come At Me Bro). Sniper rifles? Bah. 99% of the time I am not in cover. I get downed a lot (freaking Super Badass Pyre Threshers :) ) but I always get a Second Wind.

So yeah, it is a bit ridiculous. But it is the high risk, high reward gameplay they promised and I really hope it doesn't get nerfed.

PS: "With Claws" seems relatively pointless when you have Cooking Up Trouble. It heals WAY less and doesn't do all that much damage. Of course, having claws is badass so I do have the skill.
