showcasing a few of the weapons manufacturers...light hearted stuff, really.
If you pre-orderd from EBGames/Gamestop, here's a brief preview of their pre-order bonus DLC

Gearbox announced yesterday that they are already working on four new content add on packs to be released between September this year and June 2013. According to the Community Manager over in the Gearbox Forum:
“After the release of the game, four brand new add-on campaigns for Borderlands 2 are coming your way, featuring new areas to explore, new adventures to undertake, new enemies to overcome and more. Priced individually at 800 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360 and $9.99 on PC and PlayStation 3, these four campaign add-ons are scheduled to hit by June 2013 with more details to come in the future.”
Apparently, these DLC’s are not part of the already included pre-order bonuses and the Mechromancer add ons but four completely new and extra campaigns. We can buy them separately or as part of a season pass which will be reduced in price by %25.
Given how much I enjoy(ed) the first game and how hyped I am for BL2, I think I’ve found a new company to shout “Take my money!!” at.

Nice, I enjoyed the DLC packs for Borderlands so more will be welcome for Borderlands 2.

I take some pride in being able to solo Mad Moxxi on my characters though. Kind of a sign that you know how to play them.

Figures. I beat Borderlands 1 on PS3, but am replaying it (and preordered Borderlands 2) on XBox.CmndrFisher wrote...
Make sure you keep your saves. Apparently once you load BL2, it recognizes you save and gives you a free Appearance and Weapons Skin Package.
I guess I'd better get busy!

I think 3 out of the four DLCs for the first Borderlands were very much worth it. Mad Moxxi was a bit extreme. Too many rounds, and the modifiers were completely random. Sometimes they would help you, but other times they would make things near impossible.

Hell, yes. Moxxi's DLC was annoying (in a good way) It took me the best part of a Saturday to beat it solo. (It was a feat I too take pride in)

I have all the trailers on my PSP and watch them everyday, as Morgan Webb said "I am going to watch that so many times!"
Wimoweh and Doomsday are my particular faves. You gotta love the humour in them. Actually, there is so much subtle and not so subtle humour in BL. I'm playing the General Knoxx DLC right now (again) and I had forgotten about the midget Dumpster Diver in Thirsty Midget's side quest. I just about shat my pants when he jumped out of the loot chest then I laffed like hell at the humour of it all.
I hope the writers for BL2 have kept that up.

You could use Modio and Willowtree, What I did for basically a cross-platform profile.happy_daiz wrote...

More fun to replay with a new character than using willowtree. Guess it depends how much time you have to spare before release.
I have this and Sleeping Dogs until release.
It is my ambition to reroll some Borderlands characters until then. My new Lilith is 32, Brick is about 20, and I think Roland is 43. It does not actually take that long.
The only part I really hate about leveling is playthrough 2 before the Destroyer, when things do not yet scale.
Of course you can always get your friends to boost you (not that mine play Borderlands). I remember one guy in one of my games gaining 10 levels or so almost instantly.

I liked Moxi but it was overpriced for what it was. The Slaughterdome Gamestop exclusive is apparently similar and should be available to purchase for everyone some time after the game is released.

A stray grenade can also one-shot you and leave you with no way to get a Second Wind.
But then again, I suppose it was made for multiplayer and not soloing. Of course, those of us who don't have anyone to play with are stuck soloing or missing out on skill points.
So it needs tweaks, but then it's a good idea.

The arena concept needs a few tweaks. Some modifiers can help you (though they are supposed to make the game harder), and others are just unfair. For example, the close quarters modifier just helps sirens, but Vampire can doom you if you do not already have the best possible gear.

Playing through solo is considered a Badge of Honour (sort of) over in the Gearbox Forums. Be proud of your accomplishments Termokanden, especially completing Moxxi’s Underdome.
I have recently applied for inclusion in the esteemed ranks of Solo Champions. I hope they find me worthy.

One of the things I really enjoyed in Borderlands was the challenge in Playthrough 2.5. It's way better than new game+ in most games I have played. You will die all the time if you don't pay attention.

My favorite Borderlands memory: playing splitscreen co-op with my brother, (high-speed internet was not yet available in my neck of the woods,) I constantly complained how I never got to drive the vehicles. He was getting all the car-related achievements while I just sat in the back and shot stuff. Finally, I got fed up and got my own car at the Catch-a-Ride just as he got one.
We drove out at the same time, turning in opposite directions. I was 100% sure I was the one going the right way.
Spectacular head-on collision. We stuck to one car after that, and I did get my achievements.
